I stumbled upon Unique Treasures after my most recent pit stop at the Clintonville Farmers Market. After walking by as I was heading to and from the car, I was intrigued by the dusty window and old signage. I just knew there had to be something special in there waiting for me! I opened the door and immediately noticed the large amount of inventory crammed into this little store. There was so much to choose from, I didn't even know where to start. No lie! I ended up starting towards the front of the room and eventually worked my way to the back. After browsing around for some time, I discovered everything from full tea sets to old photos, tons of jewelry, some awesome wall mirrors (with a touch of paint they'll be good as new!), records, and so much more! The fella that runs the placed is named Bob and he was so sweet. He has his nameplate on the desk next to the register, which made it really easy for me to know who to ask for when I was ready to check out. I assured him that I'll be back on Saturdays after the farmers market and he said he's almost always there (unless he's visiting Florida, haha). After about 15 minutes of looking around, I found a handful of cool jewelry pieces that I wanted. I ended up narrowing my option down to a really pretty blue pendant that simply needed a chain to be turned into a bohemian style necklace. For only a few dollars, I practically had a brand new piece of jewelry that could go with just about anything in my closet. Absolute score! I can truly say that I'm eager to make this a more regular stop on my weekend trips to the market. If I only looked around for fifteen minutes and found something good, just imagine what I could find with twenty, thirty, plus.

This store is kind of a hidden gem. There's not much signage and the front windows tend to be crowded full of items for sale, but when you go inside, you're in for a surprise. The place is packed - not just with furniture or antiques (though there are plenty), but old records, books, magazines, even some vintage medical equipment and chemistry sets! Best of all, the owner is MORE than willing to deal, especially if you're trying to get a few different things. After a trip to find some fixings for our new apartment, my wife and I walked out with a standing mirror, a new desk, and a beautiful antique safety razor and shaving mug for $80! The original ticket prices on everything put together were almost double that, but he happily dropped the prices to make the combo. Absolutely worth visiting if you're trying to put together a new place on the cheap. One warning: Street parking is basically the way to go. There's a lot on the side you can get a moving van or pickup truck into, but it's technically for Pizza Hut only and I've heard they will tow you if their drivers can't get in...

I don't know how I've missed this place every time I've driven through Clintonville. Admittedly, it is a tiny store front. The inventory of this little antique store packs a punch, though. They have a killer selection of antique radios and camera -- both things that I love to browse through. The real find here is their collection of old post cards. Aside from the predicable-but-still-cool scenic views of tourist spots, you'll find some weird-o stuff that you'll be surprised could even be printed back in the day.The guy who runs the place is ultra laid back and more than content to let you mill around to your heart's content. Prices are pretty good too. Enjoy!

Initially, I didn't like this antique store. It's small and full of little uninteresting knick knacks that bored me. Nothing caught my eye until I saw a stack of old black and white pictures going for 75 cents to 2 dollars. Pretty reasonable really, considering what old pictures go for in most antique shops. Those pictures led me to a stack of old radios. One especially cool 1950's radio/alarm clock was only ten bucks in mint condition. A box of old replacement tv / radio tubes were next to the radio for only 5 bucks a piece. And those were across from an impressive collection of sleds and National Geographic mags. For these things I will be back.

I wouldn't exactly call this an antique store, or a vintage shop, although they do carry both types of items here. It's more of a junk shop, but I say that with the best of intentions and in the best and most endearing way I can(you know what George Carlin said about what one persons junk is, and vice versa). This is a really fun store! Unique is a very good descriptor for what this store is. I bought a really pretty hand-embroidered table runner for $5! Can't beat it! There was a really eclectic collection of funky and cool and cheap vintage jewelry as well. The man who runs this store is adorable and very nice. Plus he takes credit cards! Save yourself some problems with parking and park in the back of the strip of shops.

Cute little place with super nice staff. I snagged a bunch of vintage postcards and could have spent much longer perusing the shelves. Will certainly be back

This very nice, but small, shop is packed with a lot of different items for all tastes. I was warmly greeted when I entered the store, Take your time looking as you might miss that one thing you wanted or needed. They do buy items also. Overall, VERY nice.

This may not be the nicest antique place in the world, but its cute and the people here are sweet. It could seriously use the hand of a designer to up the quality of the place, but that's something that I seriously doubt will ever happen. This is the place I drop by for some weird things for art supplies once in a while. Also, I looooooove antique photographs, which they do.
