Friendly local watering hole with several TV's to watch the game. Not a big selection of beers on tap but I liked the ones they had. Locals playing lottery machines and it looked like hey had an iTunes jukebox but hey had an episode of Friends playing in the middle of the day. It also, looks like they serve food but will allow you to bring food in from the nearby restaurants. Not a bad spot to stop for drink.

I have been coming to this bar for 7 years.... NO, I do not own the bar.... But I love and respect every person, bartender, and support staff that I have met. Service is great, food is delicious and the regulars are awesome.... To name people in a negative review is CHILDISH, so please do not judge a venue on ONE salty newbie who comes in and gets more than he bargained for!!! Strong women are not vile.... #nope u

U.A. Pub is one of the rougher spots in Upper Arlington. It's not actually in the suburb. That's why. It's located in Columbus on Henderson. The beer selection isn't special, it's there to help you get trashed. I had a Yuengling, which was the bar's most exotic beer. It's about $3 a pint at happy hour. The other beer selections are watery shit such as Bud and Miller. Food selection is nothing special, just bar crap. There's a pizza place in the strip mall which has some better options. It's not a place to make new friends. Like many bars, it's full of regulars pretty weary of outsiders. The bartender and staff are usually friendlier to you.

We just moved to this area of Columbus and were doing a tour of bars to find our "new place." UA Pub is 100% absolutely our new place to go!! In the last ten days, we have been here four times, and both bartenders, Ashley and Marcone, are fantastic! One example of the superb customer service: my boyfriend was craving a screwdriver. After pouring the vodka, Ashley remembered she ran out of orange juice earlier that day. However, before my boyfriend could say, "Cranberry is fine," she had gone in to the cooler and got oranges to squeeze him fresh orange juice BY HAND so he could have his screwdriver. During COVID, they have been requiring masks and have all drinks (beers, liquor, and soda). They currently only have fried foods, but they look and smell delicious! Half off appetizers every day from 11-7!! Can't beat it!

U.A Pub is of the type that you can feel the pounding headache and gagging throat of hangover upon entry before you've had one single drink. The place where loud regulars dominate the atmosphere with pugnacious howls and grunts, where staff comes on their days off to lounge about and dominate the attention of coworkers on the clock, and where blondes finding their bad self drop sequential f-bombs for obviously self-conscious effects. In short, a quintessential dive. It was my first trip to the establishment since its move from the Tudor revival offices down the street. My history with it had been mixed; I loved the clientele, usually after work partiers from whatever tech outfit existed across Henderson then, but I hated the staff; they seemed smug and snobby me for some reason. So it had been awhile. Here at their new environs the scripted seems to have flipped. The clientele was as described above, the who-is-who of the typical dive scene, but the staff--one bar tender--seemed welcoming. A larger place, but a little sparse on seating, the UA pub has a couple well maintained pool tables and a clean interior. The lighting though is way too bright and casts too much of an orange glow. This is not a good thing, for one of the charm of bars is the background darkness for beer-sign lights, mirrors, and brass. So I have to mark them for a weak décor. Tap choices are boring, about the same as 1999--domestics and the common imports, though they may have some micro and crafts in bottles or cans. This disappointed me but I really don't visit dives all the time like I use to so I really won't complain. They carry food now, nothing special. I had fried mushrooms which were at expectations, normal bar level warm-ups, and French Fries which were not. Do not get fries here. They were over cooked with a very poor taste.I will complain about my beer order though. My Guinness draft came in a small glass but was priced about average for bars that offer it in the proper pint size serving. I mean this is just a step above offering it in a plastic cup. No, no it is a Irish sin to serve the holy drought in less then proper glassware--and on St patty's weekend too! Not to mention the rip-off of serving half a Guinness and charging full price. Not cool. ( I guess another script is flipped, I am the snobby one now!)Overall, it is a place to come if you are bored and want to hang with friends and enjoy libations, because it is close and simple and has billiards. But it is no where near tops in the neighborhood.

Born and raised in Columbus but recently moved to NC. Back in town for a wedding on OSU/UM game day and needed a place to watch the game before ceremony. Treated like family by the staff and Gary specifically. Will absolutely be back to UA pub in the future.

With a name like U.A. Pub you might think it is a little fancy with an Irish or English influence. It is none of these things. You will park by a strip mall Subway, think about grabbing a foot long and ultimately pass, a mediocre sandwich is not what you are here for. Pro tip: avoid walking by the 3 regulars smoking outside the front door and enter through the side door by the tattoo shop. You will quickly realize 80% of the space in this establishment is never used by anyone and find a seat by one of the 7 regulars sprinkled around the bar. It is at this time you will realize nobody who lives in Upper Arlington has ever been to Upper Arlington Pub. This place has a real 'wrong side of the tracks' energy. Thankfully for me, this makes me feel right at home (thanks Dad). The bartenders are friendly, but if you want to get on their bad side, order some food. They have to go to the back room and make that quesadilla themselves between shot orders. I lo...like this bar. 4 stars.

This bar is great until the tattoo parlor next door closes. Then the co-owner or son of owner thinks his fat ass owns U A Pub. These two establishments existed side by side for years but the tattoo parlor now thinks they own u a pub. Bring back the neighborhood pub feel and bring back the regulars that don't want bullied by a loud, belligerent tattoo shop co-owner
