I can't say enough great things about my experience with Tutor Time. Brittney Bailey is a true educator. This is not a typical day care, and in fact I don't even refer Tutor Time as day care but as a school. My son started Tutor Time in August of 2018. We changed day cares to go to the sister company of Tutor Time and it has been the best decision. Hayden could not spell his name or write due to lack of education from the other day care. He was behind when he first started in Ms. Brittney's class. Brittney made sure Hayden was able to catch up with the rest of the class by sitting down with him one on one every day and help him learn. Brittney is a great teacher and for her I am thankful my son is able to go to Kindergarten this year and not be behind in education.

Tutor Time has been wonderful for my daughter. She started in their Pre K program and is now in their kindergarten wrap around which works with Olentangy's part time kindergarten schedule. The staff and teachers are kind. They easily accommodate my busy schedule, Communication is a breeze, and billing is simple. I would recommend Tutor Time to anyone who is looking for a safe, happy daycare center!

My son was enrolled in this school. When I initially toured this school, I thought it would be a good fit for our family. However, my personal experience with Tutor Time of Powell has been extremely negative. First, in my personal experience with my son and his classroom teachers, there has been an extremely high turnover rate of teachers and assistant teachers. This always left my son dealing with new people all of the time, and he could never get close to any of his teachers. In his Pre-K class alone, he had dealt with over 5 different teachers and assistants. At one point, there was a very young man out of high school who was acting as an assistant teacher (I know this because they send home info sheets about new staff and Tutor Time listed that he had just graduated high school). During his time as an assistant in my son's classroom, my son (4 years old at the time) was sent home because him and the male assistant were playing too rough and my son "was aggressive towards him". Soon after that, he no longer held a position in my son's classroom. My son would constantly come home, telling me his teachers were mean to him. Also, once I started doing my research of other schools, I noticed that the teacher to student ratio was a much more comfortable number to me than at Tutor Time. For example, in his pre-k class, there were 25 students in one class alone whereas other schools had maybe 10-12 students per one pre-k class. In my opinion, it's harder for a child to have a one-on-one connection with their peers and importantly, their teachers, when the classroom size is so large. I have spoken with other parents who had children attend Tutor Time of Powell who had similar experiences, or in my opinion, worse. Unfortunately, when there is an issue, there is no superintendent to go to since this is a franchise. In mine and my son's experience, less than two weeks after he started kindergarten full time at their facility, I was contacted by their director via phone and was told that their classroom wasn't a good fit for my son and I had two days to find a new school. I definitely did myself a disservice not doing my research of other schools in the area. Please thoroughly do your research of all schools in the area. I was overall extremely disappointed in my experience with Tutor Time and since my son has left that school, he has been much happier -- and that makes me a happier mother as well.
