This is by far the worst leasing agent I have ever dealt with. The management owner, Daryll, treats his tenants like paychecks and not humans. I have rented a home in German Village from him since June of last year. From the get go I had issues. Every single month I received a note that they would be entering my home to "do an inspection for value purposes" so every single month they came in when I wasn't home at least once. The office manager who was the only helpful person on staff retired the same month I signed my lease and from there it was all downhill. German Village homes are old and from time to time will have issues come up. I have rented three other homes in the area since moving to Columbus, all other landlords were prompt or attempted to be as prompt as possible.When I moved in the house was disgusting and had not been cleaned, I had to ask for multiple odds and ends as well as replacements as I worked to clean the house (light fixtures parts etc.), all but a handful of the blinds were broken, the carpet was stained even though they promised to have them cleaned the day before I moved in. Both toilets in my home broke continuously and finally I had to beg them to replace one that was causing water damage due to flooding in the walls. Soon after the office manager left, they also discontinued emergency help hotline. So now anytime something goes wrong you are only able to call at business hours and good luck getting someone to answer or return your messages.Next I discovered a code violation and it wasn't until I said the words "FIRE HAZARD" that they agreed to replace the washer and dryer. When they did this they caused massive amounts of damage to the interior of the home. Daryll knew it would be on him to pay for the damages so he sent in a clown crew of FIVE PEOPLE that did shoddy work and were coming in and out of my home for almost two months when really it should have taken 3 days at max. When I complained about the poor work and the amount of time it was taking he threatened me and sent me nasty text messages. At the suggestion of an attorney friend, I finally reached out to the homes actual owner to have someone step in and let THM and Daryll, know you cannot talk to people in this mannor or threaten them. People rent in GV for a reason, it's a nice area with nice homes. You cannot act like a slumlord and threaten people when they call you to fix actual problems and then call you out for depreciating the value and aesthetics of the homes they pay you good money for. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! It amazes me how this place is in business still. My best guess is that they count on people who either don't care about the homes they rent and trash them, or won't fight back when they treat they like trash. RUN!

I am severely disappointed in this company. We called numerous times to have blinds replaced and broken windows repaired. In these situations where our livelihoods were in danger, it took upwards of a whole week for them to respond. In one case, we asked for a service request 10 times and no one ever came to replace the window blinds that were missing from the time of our move in.The house that we rented was also in extreme disrepair, had a mouse infestation, and had slanted floors!

This landlord is nothing but a slumlord!!! I would not recommend anyone to live at the SCHROCK PARK location near Westerville as the apartments are POORLY maintained!!I lived at the Schrock Park Apartments location near Westerville Ohio for several years and they had a major problem with squirrels getting into the resident's living quarters. I had to call Columbus City Code Enforcement to get the rodent problem resolved as the landlord was doing nothing but patching holes in the dry wall where the squirrels had chewed their way through. The landlord was doing absolutely nothing to keep the rodents out of the buildings. The squirrels were entering the buildings through the attic and into the walls because the slumlord property owner, Darrell Spegal was too cheap and incompetent to make the necessary repairs to the roof. There were holes along the edges of the roof where the squirrels had chewed their way into the attic. It was only when the City of Columbus forced the slumlord owner, Darrell Spegal to make repairs to the roof, that the rodent infestation ceased to be a problem.In addition to that issue, the slumlord also wasn't making basic repairs in a timely manner. I sometimes had to wait 2 weeks or longer for a repair. Sometimes I would have to call the maintenance office several times to get repairs completed. I also experienced a roof leak several times because the landlord was not doing routine maintenance on the roof. The trash at times was also not being picked up in a timely manner. There were also numerous potholes in the parking lot. The sidewalks were also not being adequately maintained. The sidewalks were crumbling in many places and during the winter, the slumlord was not removing the snow and ice off the sidewalk surfaces.

I rented with TownHomes Management for a few years and they tried to screw me over at every turn. When I saw the light at the end of the tunnel and was able to move out in a few months my rights were violated and they showed my apartment without my permission or proper notice when I was not there. The folks that walked through had stolen over $400 worth of my belongings and TownHomes said they were not liable. Besides the worst management staff in town, the facilities are also complete crap. The appliances are 30+ years old and rack up an enormous electric bill. The place was extremely dirty when we moved in and maintenance refused to come out and fix our heater on the coldest weekend of the year. We had to wear full winter gear inside for a weekend due to their laziness. Also, if you don't like bugs, STAY AWAY. House Centipedes live all through out their apartments. If I only had to kill two in one day, that was a good day. Lastly the rental office is disgusting. You can't breathe inside because the receptionist smokes all day long in there. TL:DR Filthy and old apartment, bad maintenance staff, and horrible management team who will treat you like shit simply because they can.
