Tommy's Diner

Out in Columbus for a couples day so I obviously had to find a breakfast spot. I have plenty of things I do whenever I go to an area and want to find their good eats. One thing is always look to see if anywhere has been of Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. BANGGGQUITE a few stand outs here:1.) The country fried steak. Not just coated in a flour and fried. The breading was seasoned unbelievably well and the steak wasn't just a thin pounded cut to where you only get breading2.) The gravy. Best gravy I've ever had.3.) The biscuits. PHENOMENAL crunch on the outside and still moist in the middle.4.) The Hollandaise sauce. Also best I've ever had. Beyond creamy with a slight extra vinegar taste to it5.) Baklava cheesecake. Need I say more.The inside was set up like a 60s diner and awesome. It was 12:30 when we got there. Able to be seated but still packed. Our waitress was fucking awesome. So funIf you are ever in Columbus do yourself a favor and make it a priority to get the fuck over here

4.5 rounded down. Service and food were amazing! Knocking it down because we were seated by the front door. It was freezing every time the door opened and everyone waiting for tables were huddled around us. The host even used our table to set her iPad on. Not ideal. I'd still come back because the food and people were great! The hostess is truly amazing at her job.

YUM!!!! Delicious and filling meal! The breakfast club was exactly what I wanted and needed! Portion is large and every bite was so good! Food was brought out quickly and service was delicious! My favorite perk was they had coke too! Restaurant was quaint and so cute inside! I would definitely come again!! Family owned and well done! 10/10!

We loved this place. The whole experience was fun the food was excellent. Despite how busy they were there was always someone checking on our table. The baklava cheesecake was out of this world good.

My first visit. Typical diner food that really over-hypes the diner vibe in a mostly good way.Meat lovers omelette was a decent diner omelette, but nothing special.Sourdough toast, yay! I ordered dry and got slathered in butter. Boo! Will I return? No. Better breakfast choices nearby.

I like simple things in a restaurant. good food, good service, good clean places. I have heard about this place before, but never tried it until today, happy that i did. Very nostalgic in decor, and when the waitress called me "sugar", i knew this was my kind of place. I got the 3 egg meat lovers omelette, very impressive! Toast was buttered to my great grandmother's specifications, and the chicken fried steak my nephew had was on point. Cannot wait to bring the mrs and friends her

I have heard about Tommy's Diner for years but never tried it. Today, I got to check it out with my coworker for a quick business lunch. There seemed to be a fair amount of parking, but the lot was packed. Popular spot for lunch. When you walk in the door you are taken back in time. It was a charming and fun atmosphere. We were greeted by the owner and quickly seated. They must have known how important we were. lol just kidding. We both ordered the BLT and sweet potato fries. Everything was good, not great. But from the looks of the menu, we would both be back, we just wouldn't order this again. Looking forward to checking it out again soon.

Where do you start here? The customer service is always top notch regardless if it's your first or last visiting the diner you'll always get a warm welcome. The atmosphere is full of all kinds of things and is fun to get lost looking at and realizing just how many enjoy it. The food is always super consistent and is just as filling. The prices of everything are also very reasonable. Overall this place should always be on the list of places for breakfast or even lunch.

Such a Columbus gem. Do not let the location scare you - the food is great and the atmosphere is awesome! It is a true diner experience! I always get the eggs benedict when I'm here and it never disappoints! Free refills on coffee, fair prices and the wait to be seated is never long regardless of how busy they stay. The menu is actually quite large and in addition, they have specials posted on the wall in case you'd like something with a little more zest! Parking can get a little tight on weekend mornings/early afternoons but you can almost always find a spot to park in their lot. Huge portions - you will not leave hungry!

I am always a savory breakfast person- I order an omelette or eggs benedict at any opportunity. For the first time ever, I wished i got the french toast. Legitimately the best french toast I've had in my life. The pumpkin pancakes were unbelievable as well. Decent prices considering the portions and quality, I'm so excited to come back and get the stuffed french toast all to myself!
