Good ol diner vibes but with both greasy spoon diner eats PLUS super tasty Mexican comida! 100% loved it. Friendly, quick service, tasty food, amazing prices. This is a simple neighborhood diner - it's not fancy or pretentious but these are some of my favorite spots! We had Mexican eats this time and got completely stuffed for about $30. Love it and will def be back.

I had a delightful second visit, with exceptional food and service. The breakfast offerings boasted generous portions, while the mimosa and margarita were particularly impressive. The staff displayed remarkable friendliness and attentiveness. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the delectable French toast, complemented by fresh strawberries. Overall, this establishment proved to be an outstanding destination, complete with a fully stocked bar!

Dan's is here no more, but Tio's is, so Tex/Mex fans rejoice! The walls are still awash with old diner kitsch. And now they have US & Mexican flags to add to the ambience. The breakfast is still enormous, even though it speaks a bit more Spanish than it used to. Lunch looks hearty. Dinner was more than ample. And the service is as agradable as can be. My Carnitas filled more than 1/3 of my plata. Mom's Popeye chicken (with spinach of course) filled half of her platter, and was a wonderful mix of "run for the border" flavors... heading south that is, because running the other way sucks. My margarita came with a generous slice of orange, a wedge of lemon, and blueberries under an umbrella. I was a bit slow on the trigger for pix, but from what so vices on my plate, I hope you can see that my Carnitas were done to perfection. The cheese dip was cheese dip, and the salsa was salsa. No surprises, just the food you'd expect your uncle to serve you when you stop in. Awesome stuff, guys. Muy bueno. Muy rico. ¡Muchas gracias, mis amigos nuevos! New note... cerveza only on Sundays until further notice. But still great food. Tonight mom & I both had the giant flan. It's all still very good here & well worth the trip south.

It was everything that I expected. The food was great. The customer service was great, the place was clean, and the prices were reasonable. I even like how they have a bar on the other side of the room from where I was dining. I found that to be very cute. I will definitely go back, and I recommend this place to others.

I like their all-day breakfast better now than the previous owners! After re-visiting for dinner, I wanted to give this spot a shout-out. Made from scratch, good food that is priced reasonably, bring the family. Plenty of seating, great service.

A solid diner, and a solid three stars.Having car worked on nearby, needed some sustenance, and I keep hearing about this place. Surprised it was dead at 8am on a Friday; I expected a wait. Maybe on weekends. Pretty standard menu, a few interesting specials. I got the "Big Breakfast" I think: two eggs, sausage gravy and biscuit, meat, toast or potatoes or grits.Eggs came out cooked to my requested over medium. (How did I get to adulthood not knowing you could get fried eggs more ways than just sunny side up and over easy?) Bacon was super crispy, too done for me, but big and tasty enough. Biscuit good, gravy seemed like it was out of a can. I saw "Dan's gravy" and expected homemade, and maybe it was, but mine is way better. Oh, well. Grits were instant and watery.I mean look: not bad, but nothing special. And not super huge. Enough, and at a decent price, but I had hoped for more. Service was good. Decor is old-time dinery, kinda fun. Comfy. They serve beer now, according to a big sign. But Bud/Bud Light/Miller Light/Coors Light are not impressive. And I'm not a wine drinker, but a very generic "glass of wine" does not inspire my curiosity or tastebuds. Still, nice for brunch I guess. Not worth a detour. Handy if you're already nearby.
