Came here at 2pm on a Sunday. No one else was there so we had the place to ourselves. It kind of took away from the ambiance but we had a good time. There was one person working who was super nice and got our drinks and checked in on us but otherwise left us to play. I wasn't a huge fan of their board or the closeness of the targets but we adjusted and had fun playing. You only get to throw the hatchet here unfortunately so no other fun things to play around with. We kept score with their laminated scoreboard.

This place was SOOOOOOO FUNNNNNN!!!Came here on a work holiday event and I absolutely love their entire deal... bar with drinks, lanes with axe throwing and they even offer to either have a trainer do an initial session OR stay the entire time! We opted to have an initial session and then be let loose. They even gave us dry erase boards to keep track of scores. We had a part of 11 and it didn't take too long but also didn't go by too fast to get through everyone. We showed up at 5:30, started throwing at 6pm and I think were done by 7:30 so we could get to dinner at 7:45. Overall it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fun and we will DEFINITELY be back for more axe throwing!!!

This was a fun place to go to. We found a Groupon and took advantage of coming here for date night. An excellent way to get rid of some frustration, have good laughs and grab a drink or two. A relaxed vibe and met some new friends while throwing.

Great place for a date night! You get an hour for $65 per couple. Drinks for purchase at the bar. You can also bring food in too! They have a worker show you the ropes and how to throw.

In a very forgotten spot right off 270 and sawmill, but it is a great location! What's better than throwing axes and having a full bar?! Some great local beers as well. The thing that sets this location apart is the games you play with the other lane beside you. We came with 2 middle schoolers and 2 adults and had a blast! The host was great and helped in every way.

Pretty fun time. Never done this before and wanted to get and do something different. Upon arriving for our reserved, appointed time, we were asked if we had completed our waiver online. Was not aware we could have completed it online as their instructions were to arrive 15 minutes early. Then they will have you scan a QR code to complete the waiver on your mobile phone. The waiver is quite a lengthy document and challenge to actually read on a mobile phone. Guess they are protecting their axes. They were not very busy on Saturday afternoon but told us they get really busy on Friday and Saturday evenings. Center of the building is a large bar. They had at least a dozen beers on tap while the selection of liquor, while limited, had a couple of each different type. Food options are pretty limited, a couple appetizers and personal size pizza. We decided to skip that and go out somewhere else afterwards. After grabbing our drinks, we were led to our axe lanes and giving a brief safety overview and "how to" from throwing. Thought we were supposed to have someone coaching us the whole time, but we were left to our own axes. After that, we were pretty much on our own. Wasn't sure whether there was a particular goal / score / game that you strive for. So, we made up our own and had fun doing so. Okay ... I am really bad at throwing axes. The targets looked pretty chewed up from other axe throwers. Not sure how often they refresh their targets. Still a great time to spend with friends or family! Felt like a pretty laid-back environment. Fun way to spend an afternoon with a group of friends.

4.0 StarsLocation Overview:Find this chill and kickass spot on Sawmill and Bridge Park in the Dublin Center. This place is pretty freaking cool. They have different sections; an area of lanes for axe throwing, a "field" for football bowling, and I'm not sure where the area is for plate breaking-use softballs or baseballs for this. And there is a large bar set dead in the middle of it all. Definitely an adult version of puttputt golf.Customer Service:Fantastic customer service here. We get out own waitress as if we were at a restaurant she shows you how games work and attends to any food or drinks you acquire. The bartender was pretty cool as well. They do offer soft drinks too. As well as a short list of bar food/snacks.Quality/Quantity:The quality of this place is outstanding. They make sure all items used for stress relieving demolition is set properly so you can get a full experience. The quantity is what fell short. Just as we were interested in plate breaking they offered other accommodations for other games due to not having anymore plates. While this was not a huge issue it did kind of suck to not be able to partake in this. Side Notes:Definitely check this out as a 3rd date event or with just some cool friends. Definitely a stress reliever.

I had never thrown a football at bowling pins. I was not good (but I can't wait to go back.)I'll say this here- YOU NEED TO COME HERE. They have something for everyone.First- our group came to Throw Nation primarily to Bowl- with footballs- by throwing them. Not your father's NFL or even Aunt Maude's Saturday afternoon Bowling For Dollars. This was much better.I attached a photo of the rules of the game, but if you're lucky you'll have the amazing "Ang the last Axe Bender" (AKA Daria) to guide you through the ins-and-outs of the game. She was great! Basically you throw a football at the pins to try and knock over as many as you can. The pins are actual, full weighted bowling pins- so they won't topple over in a close call or at the surprise gust of a mighty wind. But here's the catch- during the game, if a pin is knocked over for any reason it's fair game and stays down. So if you accidentally knock a pin over because you tripped on a Canadian team mate- it counts the same as if the opposition knocked it over. If the opponent throws the ball and it bounces off the wall, your leg and then topples three pins on the back row- they count. We learned that one the hard way, but our team finally won the last of our three matches. We left the playing field with a smaller slice of what pride we came in with, but really success is just playing this game here. What's going on at the far wall when you arrive is what this place is really known for though- the axe throwing. Think Grizzly Adams meets James Bond for drinks, shaken- not stirred- and they bring three friends each. What you get is an opportunity to throw axes at targets, score points and feel like your life needs much more plaid in it, all while contemplating the max possible length of your beard. There are even axe throwing leagues for those who catch the fever- and believe me, the fever was for more than just cowbell.Which brings up a good point- you sign a waiver as soon as you arrive. Trust me, you should, because while throwing things like axes, footballs and other items can be fun- word on the street is it can also be somewhat dangerous. There is a menu with pizza and other items, local craft beers, domestics and a full bar. But as the sign says- no liquor for those who are throwing axes. Sounds like a good rule to have. There are TVs and projection screens to make sure you don't miss a pitch, play or match. But- here's a tip: if you're throwing an axe, forget about the TV and just try not to scalp your cousin Ricky. They do take walk-ups but honestly you're better off looking on the website and locking in a time to go- it can get busy and you don't want to show up and miss out on the fun. There are some cool shirts for sale too! (Why didn't I think to have axes added to the American flag to replace an occasional stripe. Genius.)Ok- you've heard me now make a plan to try Throw Nation yourself.+ Great games+ Food and a full bar+ YOU GET TO THROW AXES!!!!!+ Fun, active and likable staff members (Like Ang the Ace Bender, who's name was actually Daria, and she was awesome!)+ Plenty of space and tables+ Ample parking+ Reservations available online to make sure you and your friends/family/targets get to play when you want. And I guarantee you will leave with at least one great story to tell. Hopefully it won't be at your expense, but even then you will have a great time of you go.
