Thirsty Turtle Lounge

The "new" menu is really awful. They took away all entrees, no wraps or quesadillas, got rid of several appetizers, and wings. All that's left are some sandwiches, chicken chunks, pizza and a few sides. We have tried this place so many times in the last 5 years through different owners & menus wanting to give them a chance, but no more. If you want to have drinks only at the bar, fine, but if you want to eat... go into town and have an actual meal.Just seems like no one can get this place off the ground to be consistently good. Really too bad.

This restaurant is located at a golf course. The location used to be Greenville country club. They offer a full menu (burgers, wraps, salads and entrees). They have a full bar. 6-7 craft beers on tap. This was my first time eating here. I had pork tacos. Presentation was good and they looked tasty. The pork wasn't hot on the taco and it was too juicy. Almost runny. Flavor was decent but again, it was almost cold. My date had the grilled chicken wrap. Looked good and she said it tasted good. I wasn't blown away by this visit but I would try it again if in the area or after a round of golf.

Called to ask if it was busy and if there was a wait and they said no, come on in so we drove 15 minutes to get there. when we got there we sat for over 45 minutes without anyone even looking in our direction to get drinks or anything and when we walked to the bar to ask for our order to be taken the bartender was so rude. I will never go back.

Ok pulled this one up on a whim and up popped the turtle wife and I both got the Rueben sandwich came with fries and a pickle. Pickle wife says was really good I always donate mine to her. Rueben sandwich lots of meat, cheese, and kraut they can make a Reuben!!! Fries natural cut kinda similar to Wendy's. Stop in sitting by the fireplace and good food can't beat it! Hidden little cafe on the backside of a golf course.

Visited here with some family last month, it was lovely. Excellent food, quick service, waitress was very nice and personable. Will definitely be coming back.

Love this place! Highly recommend the salmon! Wednesday's are boneless chicken wings special. Atmosphere is welcoming. This is a great place for a banquet dinner for special occasions.

I have been to the Thirsty Turtle Lounge a couple times now. I came with a couple people on a Wednesday for the $4 chicken chunks. The area is beautiful and is located on a golf course. I have not golfed here so this will only be a relevant review of the restaurant and bar. I arrived at around 5:00 PM walked in and sat at the bar. There were 2 waitresses and 1 waiter working the bar and table areas. All 3 of them were very polite, professional, attentive. I ordered a pint of Blue Moon and was served immediately. After a couple more drinks I ordered some food. Since this was the $4 chicken chunks night, that is what I got. The food came quickly, very hot. These are some of the best boneless style wings I have ever had. And for $4, $6 normally, you can't beat it. I have also had the fried mushrooms. Unlike most I have had, these do not have a thick breading that slides off. It's thin and full of flavor. If you are in the area for some very good quality food at a good price don't hesitate to stop here.

The staff are great. The fries are usually awesome. Today they were not cooked completely however the chicken strips were over cooked. The club sandwich was perfect and breaded mushrooms were the best as usual.You must try the house ranch! It goes so well with everything. Yesterday we had lunch from here everything was PERFECT. Today the amount of fries in my order was 2/3 the amount in the other two boxes. Consistency is a persistent issue at the Turtle.

Great place to eat. Friendly staff , good selection of food that's affordable. Anything from wings to steak all very tasty.

May 2018 update, new restaurant manager that we were told doesn't want more than one IPA on tap and it seems that is the case now, lots of unhappy customers now that are voicing their displeasure, service lay visit was terrible, almost 2 hours to get our food, we are going somewhere else from now on unless they straighten this up.3 stars is the most I can give this place, the food is average and the food service can be terribly slow.The wait staff are all good and polite.The prices are average and they have some craft beer, they are in the middle of yet another managerial change, maybe the 5th one in the last 5 years or so.
