The Water Ice Shoppe

The Columbus Urban League hosted A Taste of Juneteenth! There were vendors, food trucks, live music and lots of activities for the kids.The Water Ice Shoppe debuted their Philly cheesesteak today and it was glorious!Having lived in Delaware, it was only a hop skip and a jump to Philadelphia. I remember the water ice, jumbo pretzels, Tasty Kake , and Philly Cheesesteaks.The line was long and the wait was even longer but it was totally worth it. The Philly and the water ice were a real treat.You can get the water ice at their Easton Town Center location but if you want a Philly you'll need to find their food truck.@ohiofoodlover

My husband used to live near Philly and is going nuts for this place. My assessment is that it's almost all driven by nostalgia. I appreciate that it's a cold treat that is dairy free, but I'm not sure there's a huge attraction for me other than that. I think the value of what you get for the money makes it worth a try. If it's a hot day, absolutely splurge for a water ice. Maybe there is a flavor I haven't tried that would blow me away. So far I've only had what they call "rainbow" which is three colors and looks more like patriotic to me, because the lemon is more white than yellow.

I can't say enough good things about them! I am from the land of water ice - or in other words, the greater Philadelphia area - and this company is a godsend to this now resident Ohioan. The delivery was easy, the prices are reasonable, the owners are kind, and it was like finding a piece of home in Ohio. Very highly recommended to friends and coworkers who will finally stop asking if I mean "ice water" when I say I'm craving water ice. Flavors and texture are spot on to expectations. I will absolutely be a repeat customer.

I got the green apple flavor and it was so good. The owner was also there and she was very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be back soon!

This is the first time I'd ever had water ice and I have to say, it was delightful. The flavors were spot on and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried water ice before. Will be a reoccurring customer.

Thanks Water Ice Shoppe for bringing a piece of Philly to Columbus! Nothing beats the summer heat like a cup of water ice and theirs definitely hits the spot. It's perfectly blended, not overly sweet and much more refreshing than ice cream.I'm normally a lemon girl, but I recently tried the coconut and it was delicious. You really can't go wrong with any of the flavors that they offer. I will definitely be ordering more soon. Insider tip: try to pronounce it like a true Philadelphian "wooder ice".

Ohio girl never knew about "water ice". Thought was " it's just another snow cone.". Ohhhh it is so much more!!! This product is Fab! Stumbled on this last year at the Gahanna Jazz and Blues Festival and simply LOVED it! My entire family became instant fans. It is so refreshing, fresh ,creamy and packed with flavor. It's not ice cream. It's better! You really need try it !! Just ordered 4 quarts for a 4th of July.

I absolutely love the different Flavors that the Water Ice Shoppe offers. Not only is the Water Ice delicious, but the customer service is excellent! They delivered to my house in a timely manner. The Watermelon Ice melted in our mouths! I can't wait to try out the Mango flavor!
