The Savoy Club

As I read the other reviews, I do agree with some points. One it is a neighborhood bar and caters to locals. Two it is quite large with a kitchen in the back, pool tables, a balcony, seats at the bar, a stage and seating around the stage. It harkens to an age gone by with the mixture of wood, stained glass, some booths, then the TV system. I think this used to be a more patronized music venue probably when there were either more upper middle class people living around or before the area changed in demographics all together. What is left is a place that mature people can go (mostly women lol), get a stiff drink, and their share of fried chicken/fish/shrimp that can eat. It reminded me of the juke joints that my aunts used to have their birthday parties at in the Chi. Where they met their boyfriends whom had reputations lol. Where it always smelled of brown liquor, fried food, bad decisions, and smoke lol. Luckily the smoke smell is not here. I have met folks that drove down from other areas even West Virginia to get a dose of what the Savoy is dishing out. I just know that the Candied Peach Bourbon and 6 piece shrimp basket was good going down @$28.00 with tip but my body was like "WTH" on the fried food the next day. No sweet drinks and fried foods friends.

This was a nice club to hang out and listen to music. Clean and good atmosphere. Good food and drinks.There seems to be a game room and it was overall a cool spot, especially for those who like a nice nightclub experience.

I had the best time dancing there this past Saturday night. The DJs played the best dance music. Old school and modern hip hop. Very well dressed clientele and very friendly too. Can't wait to try it out on a live band night.

Had to pay $5 to get in and the frog eyed bartender was too busy socializing to get my drink..I ordered a wine and waited more than 5m while she talked to her friends...finally I just left...never did get my wine...No wonder they're always empty...Don't waste your time there are at least 5 other bars withing 100 yards do yourself a favor and pick one of the other establishments that practice good customer service

I was scoping this place for live music. It had some good vibes, seemed more like a locals place. The food menu was limited, mostly fried foods.

Not too many clubs in Columbus cater to a mature crowd, but Savoy Club is the SPOT! Great live music, nice sized dance floor, and a great bar staff! I've been to birthday parties, to hear a live band or just to hang out...ALWAYS enjoyed myself! ...and I don't mind driving from the Polaris area for a good time.

Good place for mature chill crowd has live bands featuring jazz, blues and old school soul music. Drinks are cheap! and venue has lots of seating. Has pool tables and hosts events. Also Free entry currently!

I wanted to have ;my husband his 65th birthday celebration there but, I was told they were closed down for some reason; I'd really like to show this place off to his family and our friends who come down for his birthday...it's in December...hopefully they'll open back up before then; I'm praying all goes well for this club, it's really nice and safe.

I really liked the atmosphere. Would like to thank Mike Loving he was so sweet and caring. How do I get ahold of him, I keep missing him. He's been out with a friend of mine, and understand he's searching for a particular kind of woman. The one I hear he's with is Fat, Unkept, doesn't bath, clean or do any personal hygiene. He's the perfect Man for me.
