The Sandwich Man

This place picked a good name because it caught my eye from my love for sandwiches. It is hidden away within Whitehall, so I can see it being a decent travel for many people. All of the items on the menu looked appealing to me, but the menu needs work. It has items on it without any description of the items. For example, my turkey sub had banana peppers on them. I like banana peppers, but I know a lot of people who don't and can see that being an issue. I ordered online through the business DoorDash partnership, which created a cold interaction with the person working there. He kept telling me to show him that I accepted the order on DoorDash, and asked if it was my first day since I couldn't find the button. I then told him that I ordered the food for myself and his demeanor changed completely and was extremely nice and gave me the order. I have heard of DoorDash people scamming businesses so I understand his caution, but it could have been handled better. It would probably be best if he just asked if it's a carry-out or a DoorDash order. The inside is essentially just a giant kitchen and counter, so carry-out is also the only option. I ordered a turkey sub, coney, and a side of coleslaw. The order was completed in 9 minutes, so keep that in mind if you have a far drive. The food was very good. Probably one of the best conies I have had. It was all very warm and flavorful and had the right balance of everything. If I'm in the area I'd like to try more of their menu.

Has the best sides in town fish on Thursday and Fridays customers service is friendly I believe the ladies name is crystal very nice

Met the owner of this restaurant, Ms Crystal when placing my order. Location is in a strip mall type area with other businesses, parking can be hard and I went towards the end of the day. Ordered 2 Coney Dogs, onion rings (nothing specular or to write home about-basic onion rings) and cole slaw. Although they have an option for a slaw dog, got it on the side just incase I didn't like it- it is decent . Ms Crystal advised that I call ahead next time and she'd have the order ready, been that it was my first time there (came across this place on Yelp! and I wanted to go in). There is no room to sit/eat in this place. Basically place your order and thats it. they have two reserved spots outside of the location for parking, b/c again- parking can be limited. I may go back and try a sub sandwich just to see what its taking about.

Decided to drop in on this place today. It is a really small place but don't let that fool you. I met the owners Brian and Crystal. They have been open for around 3 years. Super friendly people. Brian is a barber by trade but he and Crystal decided they wanted to do something different. They have a small menu that covers a little of everything. I ordered a Sloppy Joe, a Coney dog and Onion Rings. The Sloppy Joe had a good amount of meat on it and the sauce was just a very little sweetness to it, super delicious. The coney dog was deep fried a bit and had some coney sauce and cheese and onion on it. Loved it, very tasty. Also got the onion rings which were outstanding. Love of going to these small places off the beaten path. They are there for the community. Everyone should definitely go check this place out and meet some super nice people.

You gotta go to The Sandwich Man! I had the pleasure of meeting THE sandwich man on my visit and he is amazingly nice and friendly. I ordered a slaw dog with cornbread and mac and cheese. Everything was great and super flavorful! I'll definitely be back.

I like small places and this place fit the bill. Nice people, they really paid attention to my needs. The portions though were small for the price, and even though the sandwich bun was toasted it still got soggy.

I was scrolling through yelp trying to find new food spots. And Omg I am so thankful I found this place! They make and I mean the BEST FETTUCCINE CHICKEN ALFREDO W/BROCCOLI I have ever tasted besides my own! And I make Delicious Alfredo O.K! It's 10 all across the board! Absolutely the best spot in the city for comfort food!!! I'm trying to put into words but when I tell y'all everything I've ordered (sloppy joe, walking taco, onion rings) tastes like grandmas cooking!! Very polite workers as well every time I go in; if you can catch them when their open definitely give them a try!!!

Everything we ordered was great! Collards and yams were surprise items on the menu that we enjoyed. Five + stars for friendly service!! Parking options and no indoor seating are only negatives.

The owner and his wife are the best! Went in to order for the 1st time and they were amazing! They have a Great menu of items and are adding dinners next month. I can't wait!
