The old fashioned way to "cover up" the odor of drug activity

This is THE WORST apartment complex to live in. They claim to have a no drug tolerance policy but when I reported drug activity several times, they did nothing about it. A tenant above me would light incense in the hallway to try to block out the marijuana odor. They also claim to have two pools and a workout facility, yet the one pool is muddy pit of rain water and the "gym" smells like cigarettes and they have about two usable machines that I still wouldn't trust. The "management" does not care about you or the living situation of their tenants. They don't take noise complaints seriously, or any complaints for that matter seriously. and they never have a clue what's going on. Scale 1-10 this place is a 0. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Cheap: $725/month for a sizable townhome with 2 bedrooms and a finished basement, 1.5 baths, and enclosed patio. Easily can house three or four people, making it insanely affordable. Adding pet fees can make it a little costlier. Dishwasher, washer/dryer hookups.Decent amenities: Free tanning. Two swimming pools. A grimy gym. Sub-par tennis court. Volleyball court.Office staff: Very friendly until the lease is signed, and then instantly rude, unhelpful and slightly incompetent. We essentially had to beg maintenance for repairs. I had a HELL of a time removing my name from the lease when I left and my roommates wished to renew the lease. The complex kept calling ME three full months after my former roommates has signed a new lease that did not include my name.Neighbors: A mix of quiet college kids, partying college kids, drug dealers and nice families. So... good luck.

If I could give them negative stars I would! When you decide to live somewhere don t be fooled by stylishly decorated model apartments and young, inexperienced sweet talking leasing consultants. An apartment is more than just four walls and a roof. Things to consider before renting here are low rent but ridiculously high utilites. Amenities that are on the brochure but never working or available to use - EVER! Unqualified and in many cases non-english speaking crews doing the work on your apartment - they don t repair stuff they just put a band-aid over it. Oh - and when you move out be prepared to get a final bill equivalent to more than your rent! You could be a model tenant and they nickel and dime you for everything and then bully you if you don t pay. Seriously, run far away from any properties managed by New Life Property Management! Lived here in 2014. All of the units need attention, and the utilities are insanely high (due to old, drafty windows). McKinley tends to have lots of hidden costs, so be careful. It's hard to get anything done with maintenance and the staff are a problem. Don't expect almost any snow plowing/shoveling. One neighbor had a her oven start on fire and still maintenance wouldn't come out for weeks to disconnect it. Oh yeah- and its incredibly dangerous. We had several cop chases by our building, and police helicopters searching the area with spotlights at least once a week. We had a few gunshots and one stabbing/robbery right next door. There was also one hostage situation with a police standoff across the road, and they had to shut down our street.

I lived in this property from 2015 to 2016. First management team horrible. Second management team negligent. My car was hit by a neighbor. Management refused to give me their name even though I knew the car and the address. I fell on the un shoveled ice in the parking lot. Management did nothing. Windows and doors drafty. Management did nothing. Sink overflowed and flooded kitchen on Christmas. It took almost a year to be reimbursed for plumber. I gave my 30 day notice. In the middle of my move out I get an email from management asking me had I move. I told them no. Maintenance kept coming to my apartment during my move out time and going through my belongings. My items kept coming up missing. Two stereos, clothes, cds, walking equipment. MANAGEMENT HAS DONE NOTHING.

This property is doing AMAZING things! First of all they put up a gated entry which I think is going to help tremendously! The remodeled units are so wonderful! So many upgrades and amenities coming to the property! I moved in at the perfect time. I can't wait until the clubhouse is finished with the coffee house and all the other things they are putting in! I can definitely see myself staying here for years to come!

I have been at this property for the last 10 years and it has certainly changed for the better. My hopes are this continues. The new staff seems like they truly care and maintenance has gotten much better. The first time I placed a work order and they came right away. I definitely see the changes.

So unhappy with The Residences at Bexley Woods and The Kopely Group. We had a shooting this weekend and my car had over $2500 dollars worth of damage. Needless to say I had to file a claim with my insurance company and pay a $500 deductible for something that was no fault of mine. I called the office to see if they were willing to take any responsibility for any of the damage since it happened on their property. Weil we all know how that turned out but it makes me very unhappy because I just signed a new lease a couple of week ago and let me just say that I was very hesitant to do so. But hoping that there would be some changes and trying to give them a chance to turn this back to the place it was when I moved in has turned into a very bad decision on my part. I will not be signing another lease when this one is up.

I have lived at Bexley Woods for a few months now. I havent had any issues at all yet. It is an older place but you cant beat the price of their Townhouse for the size. I have a one year old son and he loves from me to take him a walk around the neighborhood. We have a play area and two pools. I am excited to enjoy with my family this summer. I looked at a lot of different places and had read a lot of bad review about the other management. I can see the new management is cleaning this place up. I have even seen new windows going in. I spoke to the office staff and new management has plans to replace all the windows!!!!! This will make a huge difference. The FREE TANNING is really what sold me, and the fitness center is getting redone now. I would say if you need a new apartment come here and look around you will like it..
