The Ravines at Westar

Terrible!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! Their customer service is terrible. We moved on bad terms and they were very spiteful. They literally tried to charge us for any and everything that they can!! What land lord doesn't automatically change carpet in between tenant's?? They charged us $1,000 for carpeting!!! They charged us for stains on the blind!! like are you serious???? Do yourselves a favor and just say no!!!.

I have no complaints! I love it here! It feels so peaceful and safe. Everyone around seems nice. I always see people working around the apartment complex. They consistently keep up with the landscape making sure this place looks great.

Me and my boyfriend looked into this place as our first apartment. We found it on Zillow which stated there was 1 bed room being offered at $1075. So we scheduled a tour the next day at 12:00. We get there and nobody greets us, then we are told to wait at least 30 minutes. Nobody was in there and multiple people came in and left because they were not getting the service they deserved. Once we finally were talked to, they told us that price we saw was no where to be found and it wasn't available. We ended applying for the place anyways, only to get our $100 REFUNDABLE deposit stolen. We were declined for our application and they still did not refund our deposit back to us. I do not recommend this place.

Leasing office can be a bit hard to get in contact with. I also had a few issues with getting the correct info for my move in date and funds due. Other than that, I have had a great experience with the maintenance team and neighbors. The grounds are kept clean and it is usually quite.

I've been living here since June and love the place. It's very clean, and I love that it's gated at night. If any home issues requiring maintenance they're very speedy with getting out to your apartment on time. Definitely recommend, love the area and the neighbors are great!

Oakwood Management is the worst! I have had severe noise issues with the upstairs tenants that management has refused to deal with. Oh sure, they will "let" me move to a different apartment, but only after paying a termination fee and agreeing to another 12 months term. And I have to keep paying at the higher first floor rate even if I move to a second or third floor. Miserable since last September. I can't wait to leave here! The one star is for maintenance, as they have always been responsive. Otherwise this place is a dump!!

For the most part, my experience here at The Ravines deserves a '5' rating. However, this recent round of episodes with the trash compactors is abysmal. I'm sure the health department would be alarmed if they knew what the residents are experiencing. It might be time to consider an alternative sysyem/contractor.

My daughter-in-law got bit by a dog as she walked into my aprartment. They put the dog on probation so if it bites someone else within thrity days they will be evicted. If the dog waits longer than 30 days and bites someone again I guess it is okay. Terrible place and the leasing office is worthless.

I just wanted to give the Ravines @ Westar 5 stars and a special shout out to their property manager Elizabeth Bancroft. Unfortunately we ended up going with another community due to the timing of our move, but Elizabeth went above and beyond to find us the perfect location and work with me and my daughters high maintenance requests. The facility is amazing and the units are extraordinary if you are looking to move into a townhouse or apartment do yourself a favor and look at this place and ask for Elizabeth.

Apartments are really nice but the management company doesn't seem great. Who is in the office has changed quite a few times since we've been here and cars in our gated community keep getting broken into - the office is aware of the issue and has yet to hire any sort of security at all (even just to drive through the complex randomly to deter). Break-ins have been going on for over a year and plenty of people (ourselves and neighbors we have talked with) have reported them to the office. Again, the units are really nice and maintenance is really on top of things, but the office doesn't seem to care about individual tenants at all. It's disappointing.
