The Pancake House - Lewis Center

The Pancake House is not a franchise. Opening in 2019, it is a locally family owned restaurant located in the Polaris/Lewis Center. The restaurant serves breakfast, brunch and lunch. A unique feature of this restaurant is their gelato lab which produces authentic gelato made onsite. Although, I am a huge gelato fan, I was here for breakfast not specifically gelato.When I arrived at 9:30 on a Saturday, there was a 15 minute wait which is actually a good sign. Once seated, ordering and the delivery of my order was quick and efficient. I ordered the Dolce De Leche Crepes. This new breakfast item comes with 3 house made crepes filled with dulce de leche, topped with house made vanilla GELATO and drizzled with salted caramel caramel ($13.99). For some this might be too sweet but not for me. Oh, might I add, delicious. I am 6'1" presently and frankly, I do not know how I do it. The Pancake House offers unique breakfast items that you will not find in other breakfast restaurants.

Love this local breakfast spot! We've been several times and the food is always spot on. I especially appreciate the special menu items you don't usually see - I almost always order the huevos rancheros and top it with the house made hot sauce. The ambiance leaves a little to be desired but who cares when the pancakes are fluffy!

The food and service are excellent! It's not the top breakfast spot in Columbus, but they serve good breakfast food.

Service was prompt. Windows had shades I pulled down to block the sun from my eyes. Menu is large with some international flair. I ordered the Venezuelan Brunch dish and really enjoyed it once I added hot sauce. Looking forward to going back.

First visit this morning. Food is spot on. Service exceptional. A great place if you are looking for that "local flavor." Will definitely be back.

Stopped in with a group of 6 ladies for a late breakfast on a Monday morning (10:15am). There were 3 other tables being served at the same time. Service felt a little slow for there being only 3 tables with plenty of employees. The menu has great options, lots of breakfast favorites plus some Venezuelan dishes and Italian coffees. I ordered the churro pancake and it was delicious! I've never had a deep fried pancake but this was excellent - not greasy, coated in a cinnamon sugar mixture, and with icing drizzled over it. My bagel breakfast sandwich was good, plenty of bacon.

I like it - it's a reasonably basic diner in a strip mall, but they have good food and usually friendly service, and that's honestly all I want in a breakfast place. I've been here before, and was able to get great takeout, so I think this time around was a bit of a fluke? I remember it as a four-star experience, and am rating it that way, but this time wasn't impressive. I did appreciate that they were back to serving food outside - they weren't doing that last time, so being able to sit down and not eat out of a takeout container was nice. It's not the greatest view, but it's good covered seating and people-watching, and it's nice to get some sort of restaurant experience during COVID.Their coffee used to be better - it was pretty thin this time, and tasted slightly burned. The food is usually delicious - crispy bacon, well-cooked eggs, nice French toast - but it was pretty cold this time (and started out that way, this wasn't due to the fact that I was eating outside in 50-degree weather).I did have lovely and prompt service, and honestly just appreciated the fact that I could wait for my car repair in a nice spot with hot coffee.

Fantastic food and amazing staff. Felt like I was back home eating a homecooked meal. Great Venezuelan food with a comfy ambiance.

Been multiple times and it is our favorite breakfast place in the area. Everything we have had has been great! The coffee options are so good too! A coffee with gelato in it?! Who says no to that!

Just happened upon this diner today. The service was great! I was seated and waited on promptly. The food was hot and fresh and promptly served. I will definitely be back.
