The Olive Tree Mediterranean Café

I was in Hilliard and wanted to stop by to eat at The Olive Tree for their great Lebanese food I fondly remembered (when I came here 10 years ago). And, yep! They haven't changed. Such great food. There's plenty of seating inside and lots of food to try from. I was quickly greeted and encouraged to sit wherever I desired. My waitress came to take my order within 2 minutes. I got their falafel sandwich with hummus, labne, and pumpkin kibbeh. Nice portions and the food was piping hot. The owner/chef stopped by my table to see how the food tasted and I was happy to share I loved every bite. What a nice touch! I was sad to read on yelp about this place regarding being "slow". I didn't have any issues with the timing of getting my food. This is not fast food folks. They make their food fresh when you order. I had no issues. I'll be coming back. Keep up the great work ! Love your high quality fresh food and attitude.

Found this place online & decided to give it a try.Pros: You can easily walk in & get a table & the servers are very friendly. It's well lit & clean.Cons: I was freezing in there & kept my coat on. The servers take a very long time to come back to you with anything (napkins, beverages, creamer). I had NO idea how long the server was going to take to come back & get my order! I just waved down the other server & gave her my order. The food was average. I had grape leaves for an appetizer that was not heated all the way through. The hummus bowl was nice, but I don't like ice cold hummus with hot food. Room temperature hummus would've been better. ​My friend & I were praying before the food came, we both had our heads bowed & I was praying out loud. The server came & interrupted us to tell my friend they didn't have her appetizer & asked what else she would like! Seriously! You don't see us praying???I don't plan on returning.

I am so upset that I have lived less then 1 mile from this place for almost 2 years, and just tried it today. Where do I start? I went in for a carry out, was greeted instantly, and after telling the hostess it was my first time in,

The food was okay, the portion was pretty big I can keep half of the food for my lunch and it tastes exactly the same. I like their rice and fries A LOT! The chicken was also very soft and yummy. But the food took forever. That means that they made it fresh! But we were too hungry...and kept looking at all the food that went past our table.The service was nice, our server was very polite.

Two of us went last night and had a good dinner! We both had gyros,& were very happy with them. Good size and taste! We had spanakopita for an appetizer & were very pleased with the taste & presentation. Our waitress was pleasant & helpful. She took time to explain items & was quick, too. The dining room is nice, but kinda drowned out by the kitchen lights. Kinda depends on where you sit, but if the dining room was blocked off more from the kitchen, it would be nicer. Overall all though, the experience was nice & we'll definitely be back.

Service is so slow you can loose an arm and leg and still no one will come see you.We ordered Rm two gyro sandwiches with one extra plate of fries. 30 minutes have passed and still no food. The restaurant is completely empty except one other table. This was recommended by my friend but never coming again. Food, I can't comment on as we havnt seen it yet!The food has arrived and it's cold as they made fries for the second time. No care of time and my buddy food is cold! Never coming to a place that disrespects their customers and gives cold food and doesn't even say sorry for their poor actions. 10 years in the industry and this was a poor experience!!!

We had lunch at Olive Tree yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious! We met the owner who also waited on us. She was so friendly and kind. It's a small cafe, a little treasure in Hilliard.

I ordered a gyro sandwich and side of rice for take-out and it was ready in about 15 minutes. It just so happened to be a Tuesday, and they have a "Take-out Tuesday" special where you get a discount for take-out food, which I believe was around 10-15%. The inside is pretty spacious, and they have a display case with savory desserts. The gyro was stuffed full and tasted pretty savory, the rice also had a good flavor. I got a side of tzatziki to spread on both and it hit the spot. Overall, I enjoyed the food and it was filling. Definitely worth a try if you're in the Hilliard area.

Food and service were amazing. Definitely eating here again. Also waited on the baklava to come out of the oven and it was so good.

Food is amazing and authentic! Baklava crunchy and not too covered doused in honey, like some I've had.
