This is my first negative review. Sadly, I believe it's necessary to warn others of our experience. Pickerington is an awesome city that has a backbone of great local businesses. Unfortunately, ML Dance does not seem to be one of them. My teenage daughter earned her own money and registered for a class all by herself. She was told she could try a class at no charge. Sadly, she was not treated well by the instructor when she attended and there are no other classes available that fit my daughter's schedule. This would have just been a simple disappointment but they told her she owed$12 for the class! It is a small amount of money but we are baffled that a business would treat a teenager like this. Even if there was a misunderstanding on my daughter's part, which is possible, I've not seen a local business so willing to lose a customer over $12.

Hello There...I am so sad to write this negative review of this studio. My dance partner and I were students there for almost 5 years. Our experience there began in a good way but over the years deteriorated badly...until I personally had no choice but to quit.We are older adult dancers and the challenge of Irish dancing was especially difficult to us because of age, job responsibilities and time constraints. We chose to do this because we believe in it and we loved it.As dancers at this studio, we hoped to inspire other adult dancers to believe in themselves, to try this type of dancing and to rise to the challenges. We hoped to represent the studio in a very positive way...even though we were dancers in our 60's!Over the years we danced at this studio, we were screamed at at a dance recital, not informed of public performances we were asked to perform at in time to put them in our schedules, the owner of this studio did not order our recital/performance outfits in time or lost the measurements, he reacted in a childish and juvenile manner time and time again. We were treated rudely and our recital/dance routines were not taught to us in time for us to learn them prior to competition and classes were cancelled at the last minute. Over the years, 6 adult dancers that were passionate and dedicated to this dance one-by-one dropped out of this school. The only exception to this that I MUST stress is that the owners's wife, Yulia, is impeccable beyond measure. Her classes (that we also participated in) were taught and carried out with professionalism and integrity. A professional and well-known dancer does not necessarily make a good studio manager or teacher. It is with my very sad realization that I must warn other people about this so they can be warned about what they might experience in advance of the experience.Former Student
