This is a beautiful building with a nice setting on the Olentangy River, so several of the rooms and the back patio have a great view! The facility serves as both an event space, as well as the home to the alumni association, which also offers a lot of events and opportunities hosted within the building. The patio is really nice and is adjacent to some nice green space with long stone benches and a giant firepit, which makes for a really fun area on nice spring and autumn evenings. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are nice and clean. The Longaberger shares a large parking lot with the Fawcett Center, which is administered by CampusParc, so make sure you either purchase parking or have an event pass from the facility if you drive here.

The Longaberger Alumni House serving the alumni members of The Ohio State University is a great place. Not only was it dedicated recently (1999) by building standards but as an addition to OSU, it is becoming a hub of activities for alumni. Most will know Longaberger Alumni House for its parking lot. Yes, it is a lot used by patrons of Ohio State Athletics given it's convenient location to Ohio Stadium (.5 mile walk) and being just across Olentangy River Road from The Jerome Schottenstein Center housing OSU basketball, hockey and concerts. But what's inside pays huge dividends. My personal opinion is alumni Archie Griffin has been the stalwart behind this operation. Archie and his alumni association staff perform and service all areas of OSU alumni that include publishing monthly news to getting the word out about new programs, travel programs and alumni/graduate meet & greets.Inside on the first floor is a well-developed floor plan that can be divided into any number of reception and dining areas. Again, parking is easy and so are directions once inside. I happened to attend a Student Alumni Council dinner recently with another 10 - 12 groups having dinner. The entire place was buzzing. Without a hitch the catering staff served about 150 people buffett style and the meal(s) were wonderful.Pride in your higher learning institution is critical to keeping alumni involved and donating. The Longaberger Alumni House is a place I am very proud of as an OSU graduate. RIGHT ON, ARCHIE!
