Like a lot of others mention, this place has a pretty laid back and vintage vibe to it. The walls and ceiling are covered in posters, there's a Godzilla pinball machine in the corner, and the music is just low enough to not be too loud for most people.I talked to the guys in there and they were very nice. The explained the place had been around since the late 50's and they're still using the same ovens. They said it my pizza would take 20 minutes, but it was closer to 10.While I waited, I asked to use the restroom, completely missing the sign that said no public restrooms in front of my face. Pretty lame, since I was a couple hours from home. I docked a star for that.I got my usual pizza: pepperoni, sausage, and jalapeño with no cheese. Just like other places, it was fine. Not amazing and not bad. Really just kind of bland. I know I'm weird, so like other places, maybe the cheese pulls it all together, literally and tastefully.Either way, I think because I can actually taste toppings better than most (because of no cheese), I have more insight on the quality of ingredients used. This place reminded me of the other place in Kentucky. Just like they went to Walmart, got their ingredients, and called it a day.I'd like to see them using sauce with some substance. Pepperonis that curl up with grease. Maybe pickled jalapeños. Adding something special to the dough? I was told it was the original recipe, but there's no way they've lasted this long on that.Sorry to be a downer. I'd eat here again, but would try something other than pizza.

I went here on a Thursday night. Not many places were open, but this place was open until 10pm. I also wanted to try a small place rather than a chain. The sign outside proudly proclaims that they've been open since 1957. You step down and go inside through what is often a screen door so it always feels like going into someone's actual hangout basement. The staff is very friendly. There's a long bench that lines the wall opposite the counter so you can sit while wait. My 13" two topping pizza was about 20 minutes wait. No wifi, but outside the building you can often use the h&r block wifi. While waiting people chatted with the staff and others can in that were obvious regulars as the staff often remembered their names and orders. They had a steady flow of people, which was kind of surprising for 9pm on a Thursday. There's nowhere to eat inside, but outside they have a couple picnic tables. The pizza was actually really good. It was very cheesy so it's funny to imagine what "extra cheese" would be like. The cheese was stretchy ooy gooey goodness. I managed to burn the roof of my mouth as it was so fresh, but fresh pizza is worth it. The crust is supposed to be made in house and it seemed like it. Kind of medium thickness crust so well balanced. I liked the sauce too. They also have subs too. Vegetarian would be easy, but I don't know what's in the sub buns so not sure if they're vegan. I'm not in Mansfield much, but I'll probably be back to this place.

Best sub I've ever had. The bread is amazing and adding bologna is something more places should do. I always get the deluxe. I stop through whenever I'm driving through Mansfield.

We went for sandwiches... I got a meatball sub, where the meatballs were smashed into the bread, very little sauce, but cheesy, for sure. Pizzas coming out of the over looked spectacular, so figured on getting a personal pizza as well, to try. BLECH... very bland and underwhelming.I told my wife we should give it another try and get a regular sized pizza.

I love this place. It is a dive and well worth it. Stopped on the way from the track and got a deep dish I thought I could handle and only safely managed about half. Cool vintage feel. Original ovens from when it opened. After passing about 10 of the "chain" places, I would recommend the local feel and flavor.

Best subs ever! I live in Florida, but when I'm visiting my mom, we have their subs at least once while I'm home. I get a Deluxe sub, half cooked that I freeze and take home with me. It stays frozen for the 2 1/2 hour flight and tastes just as good in my airfryer!

Great tasting pizza! We were on the road and googled good pizza in the area - it was a few miles off the highway but well worth it. Sauce was great, crust was perfect and loaded with cheese -- SO GOOD!
