Just wow! This place has changed so much! And for the better! This is a nice open restaurant, with an extra dining room in back and a large "beer garden" type patio outside They have quite a few craft beers including local ones on tap. The menu is huge! Like 6 pages! But it's very tailored, to Salads, BBQ, sandwiches, and seafood. And omg their seafood selection is amazing! And the prices are even better! Everything we ate was good. And everything smelled delicious. The fries were fresh cut type and perfect. And the servers, although a little slow, but it was packed, were super friendly and accommodating.

Very disappointed. Solid 2 star.Drove 100+ miles & Yelpers let me down.Arrived at 11:30 on a blustery Sunday.Seemed earlier as Daylight Saving time had just kicked in!We arrive on a deserted Main Street and decide the jointlooks like a "full on drive by and keep going".I never care about that but know the outside is worse than inside. Our party of 3 walks in and we're never greeted - finallyI ask loudly if we just sit anywhere. It's not busy BTW.We get a booth adjacent to bar beneath a dilapidated A/Cunit. Turns out cold air is pouring through the wall.We adjust to next booth - still no big deal. Our server takes our drink order and asks if we have any Qs. "We just need a few minutes to acquaint ourselves w/ menu," I do ask if there are differences between lunch and dinner menus and am advised, 'no'. ***I just received an old menu w/ diff pricing.[?]Server takes our orders [fish sandwich, 1/2 breaded tenderloin & breaded chicken breast - all w/ fries]. 5 minutes later I overhear the other server giving lengthy dialogue on the day's specials with another party. WTH? I would have jumped on the bourbonribeye special.... ***No, we never got a specials rundown. [?]Food arrives and the much better half questions if her chickensandwich order arrives as fish. Pretty strong smell. We guess it's Pops fish order wafting across the table. He's fine w/ his selection. Mine is certainly oversized...***but it's the color of very lightly toasted white bread. Her chicken breast - gummy. Breading is wet under the equally pale outside. She should have returned it. Fries are brown but underdone - Oil not hot enough?....Kitchen not care?...Too much thrown into fryer all at once?...Just a bad day?...I don't know. Frankly, not sure I care to do an autopsy.Haven't given a solid 2 star in a long, long time.

I've already written a review on Facebook and that was a "2" or "Fair" rating. A lot of good reports on this place encouraged us to give it a try. We had three meals - 2 adults and a child. My meal - The Tennessee Chicken - was very good and large enough to share. My better half ordered fish that was overcooked and too tough to eat. We sent it back and it was removed from the bill. We asked to speak with the manager but were told there was none but that the owners and chef had left for the evening. The child's meal was just fine. We spoke to someone who was supposed to be the sister of the owner and she said she would make the chef aware of our concerns. What stands out, however, is after making our review on Facebook we received not an apology but a scolding of sorts - via Facebook reply - from someone claiming to be the chef at the restaurant. One can understand pride in ownership to a point but when you are arguing with a customer, who was served an inedible meal, after the fact via Facebook post...something is more than amiss.Although we won't be going back - essentially because the attitude we received after our Facebook reviews - there are a lot of people local and otherwise that have patronized and enjoyed this restaurant. Who knows, maybe we got a bad night? I certainly hope so. Coldwater, Ohio is a nice little town with wonderful people. The night we were there - 08-19-2017 - it was busy and near the end of the evening (about 8:30 pm)...the folks at the neighboring table lingered for a long time...they appeared comfortable there and perhaps were regulars. If you go, I would recommend the Tennessee Chicken...get the large size and the buttered potatoes are a delicious compliment to it. If you order fish I would - after our experience - call any problems to the attention of a member of staff right away and hopefully the chef will be there and see what you are talking about and make things right straightaway. Goodluck!-24POST SCRIPT: 08-24-2017I received the following message via Facebook Private Message from The Grill on Main. I thought, in fairness, that I should post their reply. Here it is:"sorry to hear about your poor experience. We will take your advice. I tell them to remove plates and check back after two bites. They don't always listen. We don't have a chef and my daughter Garah is a manager. I left at 9:20 pm because 13 hours is along shift and we do it over the next day so I wanted get off my feet. We normally don't get complaints on our seafood. I'm sorry we disappointed you. I will talk to Bryanna and the rest of the staff on your suggestions. We lost a lot of help do to college so we are in a hurt for trained help. We are talking to someone about management so we hope that helps. Once again I apologize again."POST POST SCRIPT 08-27-2017I received the following additional communication from "Lisa" at the Grill on Main via Facebook Private Message. In fairness, again, I feel I should post her reply. The referenced apology is regarding Facebook comments, to my original review, made by Patrick Rosenbeck's Facebook Account. Here is the most recent reply from The Grill on Main:"Sorry for the late response. Once the weekend hits I don't have time to look at Facebook. I'm not sure who wrote on behalf of Patrick as his phone came up missing last weekend. No one is confessing. I do apologize from that awful response. We do not conduct ourselves that way. Please apologize to your wife for us. Sincerely Lisa Rosenbeck Owner of grill on main."

More bar than restaurant. Out dated local watering hole. Needs a good cleaning and updating. Bar food was ok. My wife had a large chefSalad she enjoyed. I had a pizza burger that was pretty good. We felt sorry for the young waitress ,she was great but the only one working.

We heard good reports, so decided to visit. We let the girl know that we were on a tight schedule and she moved quickly to get us served and out of there on time, feeling as though our $27 was very well spent. We liked it so much that we went back 4 days later. The Hubz was a big fan of the big pig, which was seasoned perfectly! He was even more impressed at how well the leftovers heated up the next day. The blackened Barramundi was a choice that I certainly didn't regret! However, the monk fish on the second visit was a little bit disappointing. If you are looking for something that mimics lobster, it may disappoint! Just get ya some lobster! ;) I look forward to exploring their large menu in the future!

Can't give this place enough stars. Grill on Main is one of our favorites, and a frequent visit. The placed is often busy on weekends, so be prepared. The staff however is wonderful, friendly and do what they can to fix any issues on the rare occasion. The menu was recently expanded and redesigned (within the year) and the selections are plentiful. The food portions are large. My wife prefers the Tennessee Chicken, even the half order is good for leftovers with her. The black and tan onion rings are one of my favorite sides. Beer selection features many of the local breweries in our area, plus standard favorites.

Great find in Coldwater, Ohio thanks to the staff at Moellers Barn.Full bar service, and a nice selection of draft beer, including several from the previously mentioned Moellers Barn. Food was really good. we had the Tennessee Bites for an appetizer, and they were quite good. I had a breaded tenderloin, and while a little different than the Indiana version, was still quite tasty. Their seafood prices were unbelievable, my wife had a delicious shark dinner for $9.99 (on special). They had an entire list of other very reasonably priced seafood entrees, all of which I was told by the owner were fresh. I certainly have no reason not to believe him. We will certainly return.

We love eating here. I have never ordered something off of the menu that I didn't like. The presentation of the food is top notch. Lots of local craft beer also. The beer garden is a favorite also.Just had another great meal from The Grill On Main. Great food as always. Buck and Lisa do a great job. Thanks a bunch.
