The Garrison

Sorry for not taking pictures of the beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the staff was nice and wonderful.This was very clean and the decor in the restrooms was vintage and cool. Impressive for Bathroom. The Smash Burger was cooked to perfection and the homemade chips were awesome. No complaints from me on this review. I can't wait to come back to eat and get pictures lol.

Good food inexpensive The batch 209 beer is pretty good also.Very popular and busy with lots of service.

We were here off hours on a beautiful Friday afternoon. Patio was lovely. Server was attentive. I had a grilled salmon salad that was simple, very fresh and tasty. The salmon was cooked perfectly. My husband had the roast beef sandwich. He's picky, and he was happy with it. His portion was very generous, so he's looking forward to his leftovers. We would definitely stop in again when in Fremont.

Food was amazing. I would quit my job and move here just so I could eat dinner here every night. I'm not kidding. You think I'm kidding, but I'm not. Don't tempt me. I'll do it!!!!

We have tried this place twice before, first time not impressed. food was bland, burger over cooked and cold. Second time not much better. Save your money you can get better food at Applebees or Bob Evans.

We found this place on the way home from cedar point and we loved it! The staff was great, atmosphere was nice and the food was amazing! Our kinda picky 8 year old literally ate every bite of her steak bites and our burgers were delicious! Just what we needed after a long day of riding rides, and we will def be back next time!!

The sandwich was dry and that's being kind. Our sauerkraut potato puffs while looking very burnt , actually tasted alright.

Visited about 5:30 on a Saturday night, fairly full with a large group in the party room. Very nice ambiance. We were seated upstairs near the bar, and overall, comfortable atmosphere. Terrific selection of microbrews on tap. Had Ohio Weather, a port, which I enjoyed very much. Our server was attentive, but busy. Food was SLOW coming out of the kitchen, and we ordered before the large group. Had the sauerkraut puffs (appetizer), though couldn't taste the sauerkraut in them. Somewhat of a disappointment, and the sauce they were served with was meh. Ordered the prime rib special, and was somewhat disappointed here as well. The house salad was nice, but very small. The prime rib was largely either crunchy-burned or fat. Significantly overcooked from the med-rare I requested as well. Less than half of the prime rib was edible. It was recommended that I get the chef's special seasoning on it, but didn't like it. Pretty sure it was just way too much Lowrey's season salt, yuck. The 'horseradish sauce' appeared to be just a side of sour cream. (Would have asked again for horse radish sauce, but had waited sufficiently long enough for dinner, and it wasn't worth it to wait again IMO). Sadly, the au jus was the best part of the dish. My son had a burger and house-made chips which he enjoyed. He chided me for being too picky, though for that price point, I expected something edible. Overall, a decent place for a microbrew and upscale bar food. Would probably give it another go if we find ourselves in the area, though would lower my expectation, and stick to burgers.

Stopped in for lunch as we were driving through. The server Leslie was great, the runners were pleasant and the atmosphere was perfect. Nice to see a busy place at lunch hour on a wednesday. Oh, and the food was excellent. I had a $40 steak later in the day, at a fancy restaurant that was nothing near as good as the Garrison's smashburger at lunch.

We stopped at the Garrison on the way through town on a work trip. I might actually make a special trip just to go back, it was that good! The lunch specials were nice, I got a pick two so I was able to try more than one thing. Service was very friendly.
