The Funky Truckeria

I've heard about this place for awhile, but I am not in Norton much. Tonight we made a point to come over and check it out for dinner. The service is fine, serviceable. The restaurant itself is small, I imagine there are a lot of takeout orders. There is a place to sit outside, but it had rained off/on all day so we couldn't sit out there. My only chief complaint is they played the music in the dining area SO loud it was hard to talk to the people at our table. My birria tacos were good. My wife's nachos were good, but there was like five pounds of them so we brought a lot of it home. My other complaint was the chips and queso. It's not a lot of chips and queso for the price. That was disappointing. I would eat here again, but I'm not sure how much, since like I said I don't frequent the area much.

This place rules. Got seven tacos to go with my boyfriend and the funky balls, which are chorizo arancini type balls lol. The ingredients are fresh and they were not stingy. I ate my Buffalo cauliflower taco that night and it was delicious. Then two days later I ate my fish taco and Thai chicken taco. These tacos were sooooo good even leftover so keep that in mind. The service was good, they were patient and helpful and places aren't doing that sort of service anymore. The location is very unassuming so don't sell yourself short. My boyfriend loved his fish taco, and his jerk chicken taco, the crema that came with the funky balls and I forget his other taco. He did not care for his Korean steak taco as much. The grouper is now mahi lol (I love grouper so was a hint bummed but the fish taco did not disappoint) Must Try: Fish taco

Wow. These were the BEST tacos I've ever had! I stopped in on a whim, simply because I was in town and wanted to try something not deep fried, and something new. Both staff that I met were wonderful, and when I said it was my first time there, he explained the menu to me in an upbeat voice and gave me some suggestions. I got one tequila lime chicken taco and two Korean barbecue tacos. Whoa... the combination of the bbq with fresh crispy veggies was fantastic.

My favorite taco joint! Seating is mostly outside on the patio but there are a few tables indoors during the winter or the rain. Tacos are unique and flavorful and consistently food. Prices are fair. My favorites are the Korean BBQ steak and the Thai chicken peanut as well as the lobster taco. I tell everyone I know about this place. It doesn't look like much but it's definitely worth a try!

If you haven't been here, go in knowing that The Funky Truckeria has a dine-in restaurant and a food truck business. If you are coming to Norton, it's easiest to park in the plaza with the Post Office and park near Dollar General. You will be sure to find it. The food here is typically great. Each dish has a generous amount of flavorful toppings. Hot sauces are available on the wall, if you want to take your meal up a notch.On this trip, my husband and I got chips and queso to snack on during the estimated 20-30 min wait and I wasn't impressed. The cheese was rather bland and watery, so we will skip that and save $8 next time. I always enjoy the buffalo cauliflower taco, so I was definitely disappointed to get there and find out they were out of cauliflower. I ended up with one Thai Chicken taco and one Buffalo Chicken taco. The Thai Chicken is an absolute favorite of mine and it didn't disappoint. The Buffalo Chicken was good, but I think I will look for a new second option next time. My husband got the Big Birria Burrito and loved it. He said it was packed with flavor and the bowl of consume was amazing. It is big enough for multiple meals, so he took a large portion home. This place has recently gone through some changes (ownership and hours), but it remains a solid choice for unique dishes - especially on a nice day when you can enjoy dining on the patio.

I don't usually go for fusion tacos but if you have fried pork belly on the menu I'm going for it every time. This place is hidden away in the corner of a strip plaza. They also had the overhead lights off so it kind of looked deserted when I walked up. The food was pretty good. I had a Korean bbq pork belly taco. It was tasty but it could of had a bit more belly for $6. The carrot slaw was tasty on top. Dressed with a kind of yum yum sauce.The Arancini balls with goat cheese and chorizo is a genius idea. Would like to see a bit more chorizo in them. They were still pretty tasty. I would come here again if I was in the neighborhood. I'm usually not in that neighborhood but I will remember this place if I am.

My husband and I have eaten here for years. Use to be absolutely delicious but last 3 times we ordered the chorizo balls they were Cold in the middle. Ordered food and went to the park to see Christmas lights which is a minute away.This isn't the first or second time, we have been disappointed. I have talked to you about this before but no response.Read your reviews and make changes!!!!

Great little place for lunch. Huge selection of tacos with burritos, chips, etc. Have been here a few times and the food never disappoints.One weird complaint. The music inside is really loud, especially for a place that seems to be primarily a lunch spot. We asked about turning it down and the person at the counter said they weren't allowed. Thought that was kind of odd.

Fresh Taco's and fast service.I would recommend this place.We have been here before. The young girl waiting on us did not rush us and made a few suggestions which was very helpful.

Abuses military veterans. Manager indecisive. Expensive not that good tacos. I was "loitering " sell me a taco. Was going to come back with the family the next day.
