The Forum Columbus

Forum is a relatively new-to-me venue in Columbus. I've been twice, both for music. One was for a house show and the other was for a monthly R&B night with local DJs. Both times, I had a great time! The entrance is in the ally and when you walk through the doors the space looks much bigger than it does from outside. Right away you see a giant dance floor, and that there are two levels. There's a bar on the balcony and downstairs. Both have been easy to access and the bartenders were quick to serve. The music was on point during both of my visits as well. I really liked that I could go from being in the middle of the dance floor to chilling on the balcony overlooking the show from giant comfy chairs. I definitely know I'll be back for the monthly R&B night (HIPS) and I'll keep an eye out for other artists.

This is a super cool place!I went for Smoked in Ohio awhile back, and it was my first visit to The Forum, though I feel like every city has a venue with that name.There is an elevated DJ booth with visuals projected on a back wall, an ample dance floor, and a bar downstairs. There are two staircases that lead to an overhanging balcony which provides a pretty epic view of the downstairs--- perfect for a breaking battle.I didn't drink while I was there during this day time event so I can't confirm how they are or how it feels for a show at night, but I really enjoyed my visit and I would definitely come back.
