This is a great neighborhood sports bar. From the outside it looks dark and forbidding becUse all the windows and door are blacked out. But inside it is very well lit. The bartenders were friendly and engaging. We stopped in to watch a basketball game and have a few drinks. We didn't try the food. While sitting at the table we had attentive service. They also have a single pool table that seemed to be very popular.I'd come back with friends to watch a game when I'm in the neighborhood.

I was trying to kill some time and found a sound bar. The bartender was awesome. The crowd was what you except on a Friday after 6 pm. Everyone seemed to know each other and were friendly.Great scene, with a large bar and good drinks. I did not get food, but it looked good too.

I love this place. it is our neighborhood bar. A very familiar crowd. It's like a little community. It's just easy and low maintenance and surprisingly good food. I never knew tater tots could be so good - hands down the best tater tots, pot roast sandwich and nachos in town. Also, the food is not only good, it's always consistent which I love. You always know what you're going to get. The bartenders are all great - every single one of them is friendly and nice. Service is always good no matter how busy they are. Queen of Hearts on Thursdays and trivia on Wednesdays. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. I was skeptical years ago when I moved in that area and my husband and I went there for the first time but I ended up loving it. Also a cute little patio with heaters and a t.v. I've had so many great conversations out there with other regulars.

Stopped in after a sweltering afternoon at the zoo. Normally I'm a beer drinker but wanted something really cold and refreshing, I asked the bartender how her Margaritas were and she shyly said, pretty good, well they were hand poured (no pre mix) and they were awesome! Had no plans on eating but she mentioned they had half price appetizers, so the wife and I tried a few. They were all tasty and came out quickly and hot. I don't think you can go wrong if your hungry and want a comfortable and casual place to hang and drink. Next time we're in Powell, we'll make sue to stop in!

I feel like I have a love hate relationship with the Filling Station. I love it for it's spacey inside and beer specials with tons of TV's (favorite time to come here is to catch a game). My qualms I've had is sometimes the service is lacking. Came in a few times before when it was busy and didn't get served, like at all. And we waited for 20+ minutes. But then other days, the service is on point. Just wished it was more consistent. Also, got a to go order (bc they have bomb food, you should try it). And they completely got the whole order wrong. I will still come here bc the beer is cheap, the food is good, and the TV's are plenty and loud. Just hate that I never know what I'm gonna get.

I've been wanting to try the wings here for sometime, because I heard they were great plus they have really good deals. It's a bit out of the way though being close to Powell when I'm all the way down in Grandview, so it took some convincing to finally get up here. This is your standard sports bar in a tiny strip mall, but it has a great TV situation for watching games. They had every NFL game on when we were there this past Sunday. There was a big crowd there, but we were able to get a table right away. Our server was super nice and very quick as well considering she was waiting on all the tables there. On Sundays, you can get 20 wings for $11 which is a pretty awesome deal, so my friend and I both got that. The wings themselves were pretty good, very crunchy and tender on the inside. One complaint I had was that the wings had a bit of an odd flavor to them that I think had something to do with the fryer. Either they were taking on flavor from other things or the grease might have been old. Also, I wasn't a huge fan of the sauces. The 911 isn't hot whatsoever, and the other sauces that we had, Parmesan garlic and hot garlic were a little too bland. I ordered a side of the hot sauce, and I think it was just Frank's Red Hot. Our other friend had BBQ boneless wings and really liked them.We didn't get to try anything else other than the waffle fries, and those were crunchy and tasty. They have great beer specials, $6 pitches on Sundays. Mondays offer $.50 wings and $3 32 oz drafts. they have plenty of other specials throughout the week, like a taco Tuesday, but I can't remember the others.Honestly, if the wings flavors I had were a bit better, I'd be back up this way, and if it was closer, I'd probably be there plenty. The long drive is keeping me from coming back, but if I'm ever up by Smoky Row, I would definitely stop in and maybe try some of the other sauces. The atmosphere and service was great too, so if you're on the North side and haven't been, it's definitely a great place to grab some good bar food.

Great food, great service. We love bringing friends in to meet the Filler team and always enjoy ending the weekend with one of Laura's fantastic margaritas.

We were there on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, for our first visit. The place seemed inviting. Unlike so many restaurants, there wasn't anything pretentious on the menu that we couldn't pronounce. We ordered a beer each to start. A Blue Moon and a Bud Light on draft. Later we ordered food and enjoyed listening to the DJ's Music Trivia contest. (Really got a kick out of the group of folks called "Crystal Meth-odists.")A little while later we ordered a second round. And we really sucked at identifying songs beyond 1980. 'Cuz we're old.Now this is where major props are to be given to the hiring committee for bringing on staff who haven't mastered basic mathematics. In other words, once counting gets past, oh, "1," then things start to get a little dicey. It seems to be a little fuzzy figuring out the difference between 2 and 3.When our bill arrived, we noticed we had been charged for *3* beers each. Yet we'd only had *2*. So, knowing anytime you have human beings involved, mistakes can be made, we brought it to the lady's attention. At that point, she got a concerned look on her face . . . as if, perhaps, she wished she'd paid more attention to basic counting (1, 2, 3 . . . ) We asked her to adjust the bill to reflect the *2* drinks we each had. She left us, and immediately carried on a conversation with the woman who had actually been our server. Our server (again, props to the hiring committee for hiring the mathematically challenged) kept swearing we'd ordered *3*.The woman who'd presented us with the bill (who wasn't our original server) came back and said -- and this was a first in my 65 years -- "We're going to check the security tapes."So again, kudos to the management who've instilled such a meticulous accounting environment that it's worth calling your customers LIARS if it nets you another $11.A rather excessive interval before check-presenter-woman again appeared to inform us, "We haven't checked the tapes yet, but we're going to just take the 3rd beers off the check." And again, mega-dittoes (can you say that in 2024?) to the management's policy, "NEVER apologize to a customer for calling them liars. It makes you look weak."All in all . . . a QUITE non-forgettable experience. One I'm SURE to share with . . . let's see, EVERYONE I meet for perhaps the next ten years.

Good food and service. Great prices. Our group of 4 tried something from all over the menu and it was good. High tables are easier for the staff, but I wish there were a couple low tables and chairs for shorter people, or those with bad knees. A couple of us didn't sit for the entire meal because it was a bit uncomfortable.Otherwise, it's menu is more extensive and not just a bar with food. I wish I lived closer.

Great bar. The bartenders and staff are all fast/friendly/helpful. Drinks are good. Food comes out fast and hot. The restaurant is always really clean. Can get a little rowdy on the weekend and game days.
