Maybe we got the wrong things, but my family and I had high hopes for this place and were quite disappointed. I'll start with the biggest problem: the mashed potatoes. They tasted like the boxed, instant variety. When a place touts itself as a somewhere to get home-cooked favorites, I expect the mashed potatoes to be real, buttery, and good. The other sides tasted like they were just dumped from cans and heated up. This was a few years ago, so maybe they've improved since then. We won't be back to find out. There are too many other great restaurants to visit, and life is short. Some positives were friendly service, and ample parking. Try it out if you're in the area, but don't make a special trip.

This is a very local place. I was passing by after golfing and the parking lot was full, so I stopped. The food was just OK. Nothing special. Had the fish and home fries. It was a bit greasy. The slaw was good. If your out this way you could do worse.

I know the name has been changed, but to us old-timers this awesome place to eat shall forever be referred to as Truck Haven. Fantastic food!!! Generous servings at a great price. World's best cole slaw in the opinion of many, myself included. Try the Lake Erie yellow perch or walleye with a side of fries.

Visited for lunch. Great food. Good service. Awesome portions. Family atmosphere. Will return for Breakfast.

We went out to an auction for the day and was looking for a place to eat. Through an internet search I had came upon this restaurant and saw a review that said it was a place locals frequent. They also said that the coleslaw was the best anywhere. They were not lying. The food was great. the waitress was fabulous, and the price was very cheap. This old truck stop is still a great place for a bit of home cooking. We had pork chops, shrimp dinner and a grilled chicken dinner and all were great.

Went to this restaurant many times but I will never go back again. The manager was very rude and disrespectful. My family and I (about 10 of us) went there for Thanksgiving dinner. We had called for reservations ahead of time. When we arrived there we found out they were having it buffet style which was not mentioned when the reservation was made. The restaurant was packed and everyone went up to the buffet, we filled our plates not overloading them. Dessert was included with the meal so we each picked up a piece of pie, I have previously had weight reduction surgery and do not eat a lot. I asked for a carry out box to take what was left over on my plate. The waitress said we can't give any carry out boxes so I explained about my surgery and said since we didn't know that it was a buffet could she ask the manager if I could get a box. The manager said no. I then asked her if I could get a small box for my pie which I had not touched. The manager came out and was very rude. She said that she had made the decision that morning that there would be no carry out boxes. I told her that she was not out anything because she couldn't serve the leftover food to anyone else and that she would have to throw it out anyway. She said that was too bad and walked away. All the people in the restaurant were aghast with the way she acted. We had always gotten a carry out box previously. Not only that the price of the meal was raised $2.00 plus we were charged $2.00 for every drink that was ordered which previously was included in the price. This was $4.00 more per meal than last year. All the people around us had expected to take their leftovers home, too. They took a bite out of their pie and piled it on top of their leftover food on their plates because they were so angry and they weren't even with my party. We usually have about 35-40 people with us each year so when we tell all of those about the way we were treated they will not be going to eat there and that is just one side of the family. I am sure that all the other people in the restaurant won't be going back and when they tell all their friends and family, that restaurant will lose a lot of business. I hope the manager is happy with her profit for the day because she will lose out big time from the loss of customers.
