Beautiful country club overlooking the Dublin/ Muirfield area with a nice golf course. Definitely has that Arnold Palmer design as everyone has already stated. If I could afford this area, I would definitely join the country club. What I like about it was the service inside is great, they have a bar area and restaurant. Also a fitness center and ballroom. I spent time in their ballroom where my friend Natalie was hosting her Peletonia Fit Fashion show last night. Bobby Carpenter, former Ohio State Buckeye and current radio commentator for 97.1, The Fan hosted the show. A.J. Hawk's wife Laura Hawk was there as well with her fitness line. Shelley Meyer was introducing her Bend Active line which I completely love! As well as Step up for Stefanie Speilman was there. I loved the show and the energy the models brought to the fitness lines. If I were to ever pick a country club in the Northwest area I would probably join it would be Tartan Fields as it feels more exclusive and we have a wide array of options with this country club. Tartan Fields feels like a more family friendly setting which I love. If you need a great place to golf, join a country club, or even an event look no further than Tartan Fields. Great atmosphere here and I would totally come back if I could afford it!

Beautiful Arnold Palmer design. The greens are in great shape. This course is challenging but can be rewarding if played right. The club hosted the US Kids golf tournament and we had the chance to see the course first hand. The hospitality was generous and much appreciated. Hands down one of the best clubs in town. The clubhouse is beautiful, classy and elegant. A great place to host an event.

Huge fan...great golf, great staff, and the overall experience was up there with the best I've had. Of course, there are always more "luxurious" private courses with more of that "king" treatment, but I don't need all that. Just a great course in a great town. Will definitely be coming back and potentially joining.

Tartan Fields G.C. is a wonderful track. This is an Arnold Palmer design so there are plenty of shots that accept a gentle draw or even hook into the greens. Arnie always liked that shot (whereas the Golden Bear enjoyed a high fade). Anyway..... The experience for guest play is terrific. The clubhouse, done in a Shaker-style presentation, has ample room for dining, outdoor seating for adult beverages and snacks, a great pro-shop and very nice practice facility. Personally, it's all about the golf course and Tartan Fields doesn't disappoint. The course is very playable from the members's tees and the combo tees. The back tees would be challenging but "The King" gave wide fairways and large greens so it's forgiving, too. Specifically, holes No. 3, 16 and 17 might have too much "trickeration" built in as far as narrow greens and swales surrounding the "play it safe" areas. But what golf course doesn't? I like some of the challenging aspects. The speed of both the faiirways and greens is great. One setback: Poa annua. A member has told me that for the first time the club is letting the greens get overrun with "meadow grass" or poa annua. This makes a golf green looks splotchy but putting isn't much affected. Pebble Beach has poa annua greens and Oakmont has its putting green consist of poa annua. So it can't be all bad. If you're a golfer who can get his or her ball in the air from a fairway lie (major requirement at TFGC) then you'll love this golf course. Heck, you'll love it if you can't. PS: The adult beverage pours post-golf are very nice!

We were watching football and playing gin this past Sunday when they closed the kitchen at 3:00. This surprised us since the tee sheet was full and the bar was full of golfers.

The Club at Tartan Fields is a fine golf course! The Golf Maintenance crew and the Pro Shop do a great job with the golf course and the golf experience. This is the value of your membership at Tartan Fields. The "state of the art" fitness area is a disappointment at best. Arcis Golf the ownership of Tartan has just squeezed in fitness equipment into the second floor of the building. This is the reason Arcis Golf will now increase your monthly dues two to three times a year. They are leasing this equipment at a rather high cost and wish to recoup their costs at your expense.Food and Beverage is OK. However, Tartan is unable to keep a Chef employed because they are underpaying this person. There is a "revolving door" of employees as servers (and kitchen staff) whom are not trained nor are paid well. They earn little money even when you pay a twenty percent gratuity for your F&B purchase. The club is not paying out the full amount in gratuity to the servers. They do receive the full tip amount. Always check your bill before you leave to ensure it is correct. Servers very often do not charge the correct member as well, thus Tartan has to write off this incorrect billing. The additional charges you receive if you are a golf member; such as golf range fee, locker fees, bag storage, etc. Plus, fees such as; employee holiday fund, swim and dive team charges. Arcis keeps most all the monies for themselves after they do pay out some of these funds for the expense. Example; It has been learned that the 2018 employee fund had $15K. Yes, some of the funds did go to employees, however, Arcis did not provide $15K to the employed staff, only about thirty-five percent of that amount went to the employees. The swim and dive team was to be managed like the MGA/LGA, however, once Arcis Golf learned that over $25K was brought into the club for billing members for their children to be on the swim team, Arcis kept most all of these funds and did not allow swim the manage as MGA/LGA, Swim and Dive did not spend this amount for the needs of the team nor does the club have any real expense for this team. The GM, and Event Managers receive bonuses and commissions for corporate and private events. Now when you pull-up to the Club to golf and see a couple of hundred people checking-in to a corporate golf event they a going to ruin your golf experience that day. Aricis Golf wants the Club to have as many events as possible, so they can make more money, and the GM and Event Staff earn themselves additional money for these event functions. The Club has experienced poor management in terms of a General Manager. The current GM has no real experience managing a club the size of Tartan. The last club this person managed was a small club that only had events and a small exercise room. It is believed that Arcis is paying the GM below market price to increase their earnings. Arcis Golf wants you to believe you receiving the "best-of-the-best", and it is not bad, however, Arcis is taking advantage of your payments to this club in a very methodical fashion.

I've been a member at Tartan Fields for many years. Ownership has let the course, food, service, and culture deteriorate. I would not suggest this club at this time. They continue to raise dues and take away services.

Might be the best golf course I've ever played. First of all, it's an Arnold Palmer design, so that's a plus. The course is in excellent condition, with friendly staff and great practice facility. Can we get the LPGA to come back here like they did in 2006? That would be great!
