The Clay Cafe

We had a fantastic time here last night! On Wednesdays between 5 and 9 there is no cover charge, so you only pay for the items you paint, and it's BYOB. We were a group of six and the only ones there, so we got to enjoy a seriously talented acoustic guitarist and had lots of help from the employee. It was such a nice evening - the music was lovely, and painting was much more relaxing than I expected. I haven't been to a place like this since I was a kid, so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I liked that in addition to lots of paint colors there other ways to enhance your item - stamps, tape, stencils, etc. The staff member gave just the right amount of help - she was always there to answer questions when we had them but also gave us plenty of freedom to play around with everything. We ended up staying for almost two hours and had such a great time. I will absolutely be adding this to my list of places to take out of town guests, and I can't wait to pick up our finished items!

I loved this Clintonville location. There was a nice selection of items to paint and helpful ideas and tools for those of us less artistically gifted. :) The atmosphere was very laid back and the assistant was very helpful. It was a great Girl's Night Out.
