The Bears Den Steakhouse

Unexpected variety of food and quality. I'm rating this restaurant high, but we didn't have steak. Nice decor, casual, and good service. Meals were:Potato SkinsHot Sausage PeppersShrimp/Scrod mealRibsSalad with Steak StripsBeerNice meals that filled us up. We would and likely will go back. Worth the trip.

Found this gem on the way to Kentucky. We went during dinner time, and the place was packed. The parking lot was not small, but all filled up. And With customers waiting both inside and outside.We sat by the bar, waited several minutes before getting serviced. Bartender was friendly, and the Moscow mule was so good, one of the tastiest I ever had. Vibe: super friendly and rustic. Restrooms are renovated and very clean. The wall signages are pretty funny, make sure you check them out. Food: juicy steaks, delicious appetizers, authentic country style tastes, perfectly baked potato, fresh make buns and sauces. We will definitely order the Tomahawk steak for 2 next time. Price: reasonable. Highly recommend by @WineDinenVacay

I can't believe it has been ten years since I visited Bear's Den! A lot has changed since my last visit in 2014. They expanded the restaurant and added some new menu items. Upon arrival, we were immediately seated and our drink requests were taken. As an appetizer, we requested corn fritters and onion rings. For dinner, I requested smothered chicken with a salad and baked sweet potato. The waitress brought us bread and butter with our drinks. The place was pretty busy and we sat in the expansion area. A little while later, the appetizers were delivered. The corn fritters were tasty, as were the onion rings. My side salad was excellent. Then dinner arrived. My smothered chicken was served over a bed of rice and it was hot and delicious. My baked sweet potato was also delicious, but with bread, salad, and appetizers, I was already almost full. I didn't finish all of my food since I was pretty full, but the meal was excellent.

A gem. Steaks, sure. But a huge selection of other delicious fare as well. Massive cocktail, beer, and wine list. Dessert case inside the door that makes you realize you'll be eating far more than you had planned. This wood paneled Mecca amidst the hills of eastern Ohio is worth driving in from near or far. We made a reservation just to be sure we'd get in. The staff is speedy, friendly, and fun...especially when they arrive with a tray filled with steaks, potatoes, and drinks. I should be one of the taxidermies that adorn the walls, as I'm still stuffed 12 hours after having dined here. Go to the website. Look at the menu. And put this place in your regular rotation of destination location restaurants.

Don't be fooled by the exterior - it's bright and welcoming inside (albeit heavily decorated with dead animals). I stopped in for lunch and I will absolutely be back next time I'm in the area. My server was friendly and the food was fantastic! I ordered the diablo burger with broccoli as my side. The burger was juicy and deliciously smoky tasting. I was only disappointed that the bottom of the bun couldn't hold up to the moisture so it was a fork and knife affair. Even the broccoli was well cooked and seasoned. Well done, Bear's Den!

Magnificent food and service! The Wagyu beef dishes are wonderful, and the soups and salads are fresh and very filling! Special kudos to server Andrea, who was sharp and attentive throughout our family luncheon. We'll certainly be back, and encourage all to visit and partake at this restaurant.

Alright gang this place already gets great reviews so I am here to confirm! My travels for my career take me all around the US and I never miss a moment to hit local joints recommended by my coworker and this place didn't disappoint. The up north atmosphere for the vibe they were going for with the home cooked very fresh meals! Service was excellent as well! Never missed a beat! I ordered the meatloaf despite steaks being their specialty but from my eavesdropping it's my understanding that most meals don't disappoint. Huge selection of cuisine, steak, seafood, pasta, handhelds! Don't miss out while you are here and stop by! Drop me a line if I'm wrong!

The Ribeye was one of the best I've ever had! Great marbling, tender, and so flavorful!Traveling into the area on business, and so glad we ate here. Tremendous!!!

We got there at 445pm and the wait was 45 min.. so we sat in the waiting area and after an hour my bf checked to see the status of our table (5ppl), said it would be soon..15 min ago by and she came out and said we can seat you but one would have to sit st the end on the high traffic area. That's fine. Took 10 min to be waited on, then another 45 to get our food. Waitress never came back to ask if we needed refills etc. I understand they were busy but a quick stop would've been nice. After over 3 hrs we were ready to come home. Food was excellent...
