Such a nice venue for a wedding! The venue provides excellent service and amenities. If you're booking for an event, the bowling alley in the basement is a great spot for an afterparty. I booked a suite for my stay and I'm so glad I did. They're large and well maintained. Beds are comfortable and clean. I used the gym while I was there and it was underwhelming. Pretty basic, but the pool and studio were very nice!

A great club in downtown Columbus. Great gym facilities, pool, individual hot tubes and a cold tub! Ball Rooms are huge. Bar and dining room have great food and service. There is also a 4 lane bowling ally in the basement with ping pong and a pool table!. A lot of business is conducted during the lunch hour in the restaurant/bar! A lot of social events during the year! My understanding is there is currently a waiting list to join! Not surprising at all.

I was here for a Bar Association CLE program. I hadn't been here since the CMC moved to the Boat House. The downstairs was totally unfamiliar so they must have renovated it. It was very nice - elegant. Our program was upstairs. It started with coffee and breakfast foods. They had decaf (YAY!) and cut up fresh fruit - DELISH! There were also pastries but I didn't really look at them - not to be tempted. We were seated at 8 top tables. I found one located near an outlet - important as my laptop battery would not go the distance. The only complaints I had about the day was the quality of wifi (problematic) and the temperature (FREEZING!)Lunch was served and I was quite surprised how quickly so many of us worked through one 2-sided buffet set up. Being a salad person, I was quite happy to see they had salad - along with chicken and fish fillets aside from carb and fat loaded items. The chicken was dry but the fish was incredibly good.I thoroughly enjoyed the program - oh, and the deserts were very good. Overall, a very nice venue for this program. I would gladly return for another.

The last time I visited the ACC was in 2011 when we went to tour the venue for a wedding space. While the wedding ballrooms were gorgeous, the rest of the club seemed outdated and stuffy. Now the whole club has been transformed into a modern, trendy space. The bowling alley is a cool place to grab cocktails and lunch, and the coffee area is updated and has a barista on staff to make anything you'd imagine. The dining space is gorgeous!! The designers attention to detail is well noted. Every place you turn there is another cool feature. The layout of the bookshelf, the modern fireplace, the tables and chairs, the oversized ACC coffee table, and cute window decor. The ceiling and floor are also gorgeous! The ACC did not skimp at all on this renovation and it shows! If I lived in Columbus as a young professional I would 100 percent be a member of the club. You can spend a full Saturday doing so many different activities (working out, drinking coffee or cocktails, bowling, lounging with a book, getting a haircut, swimming, dining). They even have sweet activities for families - father/daughter dances. Oh and don't worry they kept the wedding ballrooms and buckeye room exactly the same!We visited with family and brought our son to the bowling alley for his first bowl. They have cute little dragons to help kids bowl. The service we received on this visit was stellar. Cocktails were great and the food was delicious. Even while roaming the halls staff greeted us with happy faces and offered to help. It was a perfect addition to our trip home to Columbus, and we hope to visit again on our next trip.

A private, members only club straight out of the Jeeves and Wooster books by PG Wodehouse. A modern club that values diversity in membership and a range of ages, this place has become beloved by families and well as curmudgeonly old timers like me.I was a member for years and now use the facility through a reciprocity agreement with my current club. Check the website for reciprocity if you already belong to another club.Restaurants, banquet rooms, bowling alley with bar, sleeping room hotel accomodations, and its own parking lot a block away in addition to evening valet parking. Fantastic.Solid menu and wine list. Many scheduled club activities. Workout facilities and an indoor pool upstairs. Yes, you heard that right. See if you would like to join. Great prices for younger professionals. Reasonable prices and minimums for the rest of us, if you are downtown enough to make use of this gem. Just don't throw rolls at one another like Bertie Wooster did at the Drones Club - that type of 1920s exuberance is rightly frowned upon.

This swanky establishment caters to the upper crust of Columbus but has avoided the traps of the country clubs of yesteryear. They've managed to maintain reasonable prices while having a decent food menu for both lunch and dinner.Drink-wise, they heavily feature Ohio craft products. While the menu itself does not take chances, the support of the local economy shows a pride in product selection. The Athletic Club manages to remain relevant in an era where such facilities have largely disappeared and it is because they have kept up with the times. You get a local food and drink experience, quality service and an unrushed, private atmosphere.

Well, it's nice to meet you too, Athletic Club of Columbus! My work buddies and I had the pleasure of attending an event here.....when I heard the words, "Athletic Club", this was not quite what I imagined. The place is beautiful. I didn't see the entire facility but where I did go - was awesome. Our event space was for dining and the bar/bowling area. Everyone had an amazing time in the space, staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. If you are looking to host an event for a large group - you can't go wrong with the Athletic Club.

I inquired about memberships. Thought it would be a nice change from a standard gym with additional amenities. They never bothered to respond.

If you are a POC (person of color) do NOT and I repeat DO NOT come here. You will be met with an unwavering amount of racial prejudice from dirty looks to simply being asked to leave. As a native "columbusite" I have heard stories of POC children who have come to enjoy their rec. center and have been turned away or the cops have been called to escort them off of the property. I would like to preface the bride and I were great friends. Now, to give the benefit of doubt, I simply did not believe the stories until I experienced such hateful stares from staff during a wedding I attended. The seating for this event was assigned, I happened to be put with several of my white friends, it so happened that I was moved by staff and put with a few Pakistani men, when I asked why I had been changed (if it was something the bride had requested) I was told "no, we just figured you would feel more comfortable over here". It was that uncomfortable feeling that sits in your stomach and rears it's ugly head at you. I could tell we were welcome ONLY in the sense that we were invited guests to a wedding -- had this been a casual visit, I cannot imagine what we would have experienced. So, just to reiterate, if you are ANYTHING but white, for the sake of your dignity, mental health, don't come here. They will do anything to make sure you know, you aren't welcome here.
