Been trying to check these guys out for a while, finally made it there today. Met up with Josh the owner. Super nice guy. Has a huge smoker on site. Been the owner for around 3 years. Decided to order some rib tips with half the order with spicy sauce and half with sweet sauce. Both were excellent, the spicy just a bit of heat to it. The sweet was actually my favorite, perfect taste. Also ordered some coleslaw which was excellent, nice fresh fixings, it had a nice blend of celery seeds with the greens, and a sweet and sort of sour sauce to it. Really tasty. On to the finale, Mac and cheese, super creamy with a great blend of cheese. It was so tasty. OMG!!! And how much did he pay to get it to snow while I was there?? LOL!! Get out and check this small business out.

Just got back to Ohio and saw a bbq Pitt outside in a strip mall. I decided to stop because I like to support those type of businesses. First question I asked Hey are you guys from Tennessee since it's called Tennessee BBQ. The lady in the gentleman said no we just know people from there. That didn't sit well for me because I spent a lot of time in Tennessee. I actually have a vacation home in Tennessee. Now to the barbecue well since they're not from Tennessee this barbecue does not taste like Tennessee BBQ. I got a pound of brisket and a half a slab of pork ribs. They put their homemade sweet barbecue sauce on each and it overpowered everything. Just to clear the air most Tennessee BBQ sauce is not sweet It's more of a vinegar mustard base. However you can make it anyway you feel that's good for you or the consumer So I didn't hold that against them. What I did hold against them is the brisket is very chewy. The meat had no flavor or taste cooked or smoked into it. It was just me You can tell it had not been brined seasoned well before it was put on or in the pit. The smoke line is not very deep which if you really know barbecue it has to have a deep smoke line that means it's been prepared what we call slow and low and out the door. Usually if they don't have a real deep smoke line they add smoke to either a mop or They put it in their sauce liquid smoke that is. Well going back to the meat the meat was very chewy I even put it between two pieces of bread and had to tear it with my teeth not bite into it where it would actually tear I had to pull it with my hand while I was I'm biting on it to get it to tear. The bark on the brisket was very soft It wasn't firm It didn't have that really high intense flavor that bark that has been smoked for a long time has. I wouldn't give this a zero out of 0 to 10 This was not good at all.The pork ribs wasn't very meaty They had a char to them that would give you that char but again it just wasn't smoked either with the right wood like they would use in Tennessee or just wasn't smoke long enough and that's the key to the barbecue The right temp the right smoke with the right wood for a long period of time is the key They missed it totally I would not go back as always I end with what I take a friend from out of town there that is a flat no especially if it's a friend from Tennessee They might slap me for taking them and I don't enjoy getting slapped.

Stopped by today to get some Smoked Wing and Rib Tips...First problem it's always a 15-20m wait on the wings...the owner who runs the grill is rude, surly, curt, and generally unpleasant in his interactions with customers..Second problem I couldn't get RIB Tips until they sold more ribs...According to the person at the counter they don't have rib tips until people order ribs then they cut the tips for sale...Soooo I'm supposed to wait until you sell enough for me to be able to buy the tips I think not!!! After a few minutes of talking to the person behind the counter the owner/grill AMATEUR came back again and persisted to be rude AGAIN..I politely told the gentleman behind the counter nevermind on the order I'll go to Smokey Bones...Do not patronize this business unless you want to be treated badly while SPENDING YOUR MONEY..

Three visits later and the most memorable thing is the friendly service. Great conversation and plenty of samples are a nice touch. Unfortunately, I come for good BBQ and I have not gotten this here. On all three visits I've experienced overcooked meat. The rib tips were tough and the wings were dry. The meat had no flavor besides overpowering BBQ sauce. It didn't help matters when I watched one of the cooks remove a large piece of meat from its wrap and toss it directly on the grill with absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. No rub or brine?I wasn't impressed with the sides either, industrial size canned baked beans (visible open can) with no doctoring up of flavor and very odd tasting coleslaw. Sadly the convenient location and truly friendly service is not enough to make me return.

Pork ribs were a little chewy but the sauce was good, corn was not good at all. Great bunch of guys though.

The pork ribs are delectable, tender and full of flavor. The beef ribs were tough as they require more time to prepare. Overall I enjoyed the food I bought from Tennessee Ribs.

They have great food. I really love their smoked sausage. That's the only thing I really order. But, they Are Not Consistent with servicing the neighborhood community anymore. They cater more to companies for events. I've chased them around Columbus for the past month, and still haven't been able to get any food because they always say that they are catering someone's event. Cater to the community please.

It's nice to support our own but when you have an ignorant worker some big black lady on the far right side when you walk up to take your order... who said at the Jazz and Ribs Fest this past Sunday and I quote "dang brother you're not going to tip a sister" I was embarrassed for her saying that out loud like she was going to get a tip after that. The tip that I wanted to tell her was that "to never asked for a tip, always let the customer tip you no matter what!" I always tip at the end to see how polite and what service I receive. But, I left it alone because, I never want to deal with somebody as ignorant as her. Also, never get the chicken wings way too salty and some very strange seasoning. I'm glad I didn't get the ribs. The seasoning was way too salty and crumbly they tried to do too much.
