I've lived in this building for two years. I've made the decision to break my lease because of water damages from the snow melting off. The receptionist are nothing but friendly. When speaking to the maintenance team members they make you feel like you have never tried to solve the problems by yourself first. The management team is very uninterested in helping you with problems of their company. When the water started leaking though our ceiling in many rooms on the 3rd floor we went to the front desk about the problem. The companies solution was a fresh coat of paint for the walls and ceiling.

My best friend lives here and she begged me to post this review because the staff here is horrible. We rented out the movie theater which was suppose to be available all night but then one of the employees barged in and turned off the movie and told us to leave, even though the rules specifically state that the key doesn't have to be returned till noon the next day. The staff proceeded to call the renters assholes and said you need to leave, and then said we don't care rent with someone else... very disappointed with the customer service here, and my friend will definitely not be renewing her lease.

Terrible management, unreasonable move out charges. STAY AWAY! I sublet an apartment at Taylor House and was charged $300 for carpet replacement and $630 for pet deposit+ fees after move out. I DID NOT HAVE A PET! But management claimed the stains on my carpet (which were from previous tenant) were pet stains and insisted I MUST pay for pet during the 8month I lived there in addition to the carpet damage. I understand I should be responsible for any damages from previous tenants since this was a sublease; however, the pet charges are just merely unreasonable.

Taylor House is the BEST apartment complex in Columbus, OH! This apartment complex is superior to other apartments for the following reasons: 1. Location 2. Amenities 3. Community. LocationTaylor House is located in the center of Columbus. Taylor House's convenient location makes it easy for you to get around Columbus. You are only a 10-20 minute drive from the downtown, OSU, Columbus International Airport, Easton and Polaris. Taylor House is also located in a safe area of Columbus. You do not have to worry about crime or break-ins. The apartment is enclosed and secured. Only residents have access to the building. The pool area requires a key fob, which keeps out unwanted trespassers. Amenities If you are looking for luxury resort style living, Taylor House is the place for you! This apartment complex offers a heated Vegas style pool, FREE Starbucks coffee, tanning beds, rock climbing wall, dog parks, movie theater and a 24/7 gym. The pool is open YEAR-ROUND, so you can take a dip in the middle of January! In the summertime, the apartment complex throws the hottest pool party in the Midwest! Every July, Preferred Living brings in a DJ and offers complimentary food and alcohol! Moved into a 2br as the first tenants in this unit. Have enjoyed calling this home, but the review is mostly due to the tenants and not the staff or actual apartment. My wife, newborn son, and dog have lived in this apartment and we moved here expecting to have mostly working young professionals as neighbors as the rent is fairly steep. While there are a select few of us, medical residents, lawyers, nurses, the majority of the population is both loud undergraduates and the asian student body that is studying at Ohio State. Not a big deal, but not very neighborly, loud, and messy.Pro:Great location, everything you need is walkableexcellent variety of authentic cultural food nearby, plus some american farenice poolnice gym, saves moneydecent unit, albeit cheaply madefree soda, printing, coffeepet friendlyw&d in unitspacious fob entranceCon:expensive for what you getexpensive utilities due to monopoly by att and electric companydog waste in the courtyards and grass around the apartmentFri/Sat nights are terribly loud, drunks leave trash and food all overempty, or sometimes half full beers left on the floorboxes are left at the main office due to theftsterrible parking after 7 pm"front door parking" for monthlystink bugs!no one is really neighborly, more of a college dormonly 1 dumpster near the back of the buildingcigarette butts all overresponsible for light bulbs and refrigerator filter (nbd on the lights, but ceilings are 12")

We have lived at Taylor House for over 2 years! It has so many perks.. including a nice pool, accessible 24hr gym and free tanning! The front desk staff is always willing to help when you need something as well. It is also a very convenient location close to 315 and many great restaurants!

I Normally don't write bad reviews. This place took the cake though. Walked in to inquire about renting an apartment. The receptionist was extremely rude and pretentious. I wouldn't recommend any of their apartments. If they are titled Park or House avoid at all costs. I guess they don't want anyone's money. Besides, I wouldn't want to live next to a KFC or on some random road in Columbus not around any "nice businesses." Situated in horrible locations. Real luxury. NOT!!

- Great location- Friendly and helpful staff. Alex has been helpful from the very beginning. - Common areas are kept clean. Thanks to both Wendy and Veronica. - Fast response time from maintenance. Kyle is the best! - Front desk is staffed 7 days a week. So there is always someone there to help out. Maia & Jess are there as well as the above mentioned Alex. - Management is present M - F. Between Mariah and Carrie. You can tell they care about the community. - The outside pool is open year round!!! Thanks to Guy the maintenance man who makes sure it's in tip top shape for all the tenants to enjoy.

While the entrance to this building is nice and pretty, it's all a coverup for the disgusting things that are hidden behind closed doors. The elevator has been out of order for a whole month now and me and my boyfriend are on the 4th floor and about to move in a couples weeks. And don't forget the bag of coke left on the ground near by the elevator for a nice touch. It might look like a good deal when you walk through the front doors and get greeted by the Starbucks coffee machine and the big pool but in reality this place is trash especially for the price you pay. The people below us constantly fight and even when the cops have been called nothing was done about it.One night my boyfriend and I were minding our business when we heard a scream and a thud. No surprise the toxic couple below us were fighting. Overall the whole place sucks to be honest and the problems with this place grow constant. Do yourself better and find a cute little townhome for the same price

Here is my experience with Taylor House after living 19 months.ApartmentMy experience living in apartment 144 next to one of the building entrances was that I paid for a 2-bedroom apartment, and ended up using only 1 of them (barely). The room next to the building entrance was quite noisy. People often would just stand there and talk, or come from parties drunk and shout at 2 am. Furthermore, delivery companies would frequently drop meals late at night (12-1am). The entrance button is noisy as is the entrance door whenever it is opened or closed. The side of the building that faces the mall was extremely inconvenient. A parking lot cleaner truck would sweep the mall's lot several times a week and the noise would wake you up at 4 am. I had to use brown noise, and ear plugs to sleep. In early winter, when the mall's parking lot was slippery and there were people, who for fun, would roll their cars and wake you up in the middle of the night. Also, people would park their cars in front of your room's window (first floor apartments issue) and stay there with the engine and lights on waking you up with the engine noise and bright light. I had at least 10 incidents like that. Not to mention the numerous issues that I had with a noisy neighbor upstairs because of the thin walls of the building and their making noise. If you have difficulty sleeping and/or an intense work scheduled, be prepared to be woken up if you live in any of the first 3 floors.I reached several times and requested to either move to a different apartment or break the contract given the poor experience in 144. The leasing office said that I would have to either pay $600 (move to a different apt) or ~4k (break contract).People should do their best not to rent units facing the parking lot mall and definitely NOT next to the building entrances or stairs, not if you want to sleep and have a healthy life. I would argue renting next to elevators, first floors or anything that is potentially noisy given the thinness of the walls. The best apartment options are in the fourth floor not facing the mall. I actually moved to the 4th floor (436) because of the issues I had in 144.Parking lot.I lost my Honda civic 2010 in a parking flooding last August. People should know that Taylor House parking lot is at HIGH flooding risk, and there is not safe place. I ended up buying a new car and selling my Honda for nothing. Thus, people moving in should know that the parking lot is not safe during heavy rains. Taylor House sent an email about flooding risk way after the facts.GarbagePoorly managed and always full of trash. Taylor House also kept sending emails telling residents that we had to close the dirty trash door ourselves after dumping trash. Garbage and dirty stuff can be found often in Taylor House hallways all the time.AmenitiesYou pay ~$50 buck monthly for "amenities". Amenities are basically the pool, a regular lobby, Starbucks coffee and a gym. If you are a gym person, you'll quickly realize that the gym is substandard for the buck. Broken exercise machines remain like that for weeks to few months. There was back training machine that remained broken for months. The pool is extremely cold! It is barely usable from late May to mid September. Even in summer hot days, it is freezing (like taking a cold shower). The pool is basically a marketing thing, it looks beautiful for pics, that's it, substandard compared to other places I've been and for the buck. I had the same "pool heating" misunderstanding than other people in prior reviews. They never heat the pool.Packages get stolen all the time, and it seems that most of the time criminals get along with that. Pick up your package as soon as possible, waiting is not a luxury in Taylor house. Also, Taylor house would kind of force you to pick your package within 72 hours. Make sure no important package comes during your week vacation.I will give that the leasing office excluding the manager (who is super rude and not fit to deal with clients) are superb, and welcoming.
