There are grasslands and wetlands, and partial trails, but right now it's mainly a playground and a parking lot. Which are far from each other. A nice walk, but hard on us older parents. Plenty of benches once you get there, though. It's a wood playground, lots of climbing and balancing stuff. Lots of rope netting, which K wasn't quite up for. Swings weren't quite finished in late September '23, but will be soon. Some areas for little kids, some for bigger ones. Rubber mulch. Metal slides. A good playground, and she didn't want to leave, but it got a lot of hype and I wouldn't say it's an amazing playground.Entrance/exit is tight for now, so be careful. And 161 can get pretty busy (we came on a Saturday and it wasn't bad.) Once they finish everything getting in and getting around will be better.

New Albany is starved for places for children so this is better than nothing, but is still majorly lacking (as of early 2024; who knows when they will add more to the site). There are no restrooms, just a single port a potty which is located at the tiny, gravel parking lot, which is like 3 blocks of walking away from the actual play structure. The play structure is only for older kids; nothing for toddlers or young children. For some reason, they chose metal for the slides etc and there is zero shade and none built in. So in the summer, it's dangerously hot to the touch. They also chose gravel and dirt for much of the paths, so your kids and you will be covered in dust/dirt. The benches do not have backs, so they are not comfortable. There is also not much to the play structure, so I dont think it will entertain kids for long periods of time. Wish we could have in New Albany what many parks/playgrounds in Dublin or westerville already have.

There's a great new park in New Albany! Taylor Farm Park is located on 161 between Hamilton Rd and Harlem Rd. At 5526 E. Dublin-Granville Rd.Taylor Farm has been around since the 1800s, and nearly 100 acres make up the park which has just finished stage 1 of development. There are two and a half miles of paved paths throughout the park, and a new playground with ropes and towers to climb. You can see cranes, ducks, blue herons and all kinds of other native wildlife in the wetlands throughout the park. The paths have bridges to negotiate the low areas around the water. There is parking near the entrance off 161, and more of the park is being developed as the project moves into the next phases. But for now you'll enjoy a nice walk through nature in a great part of town.

Taylor Farm Park is the Newest park just outside the New Albany area. There is a large looped walking path that goes thru a wooded area and then winds around a larger wetland area. There is also a separate area that has a great play ground. I wish we had this park and this kind of play ground structure when my kids were young. Its fantastic! Parking currently isn tight as it seems like a temporary parking lot as the park is only partially complete with this phase being the only one open at this time.
