Guys, if you haven't been to the tavern in a while they just had a HUGE update! We had dinner here and the shrimp pasta is my favorite! The inside is so quaint and the new additions are amazing! Their food has always been good, but now the I side dining room is finally reflecting it. I can't wait to come back for lunch with the work group.

Maybe just a fluke but when I was at Tavern At The Inn I sort of felt I had wondered into Senior Citizens Center, and I'm 73. So, no doubt I fit in but I sort of miss the age mix. I couldn't help but inquire about it and was told Tavern At The Inn "....caters to the more mature." And no, I'm not deducting or adding stars about it, just noting it as a general observation so that if anyone out there thinks this might be a place where they dance the watusi, forget about that. Tavern At The Inn has really decent comfortable seating with all the chairs equipped with arms, no doubt a part of their catering to the elderly. It's rather bright, has a pleasant décor and the staff is totally polite, totally professional. Overall they have a rather good menu which even includes a local favorite walleyed pike done with a walnut crust. The prices, for me, seem more than reasonable but then most of my eating out is done in NYC or Miami. For my meal I went with their Veal Piccate which at $17.50 I found more than reasonable. The tender texture of the veal couldn't have been better but the sauce didn't quite make it. Though it had everything, it didn't seem to me that as part of the deglazing process the liquids, I presume chicken stock and white wine were naturally or fully reduced. Hence the flavors, though present, didn't marry together well.

I've checked in one night into Findlay hotel late and didn't want to venture out for a late dinner. How bad can a three star hotel restaurant be at 8PM? Oh, what a surprise the Tavern was! I tried their Wiener Schnitzel in few verities and how great that was. Lori was very friendly and pleasant, she really made my trip away from home a delight. Food was by far 5-stars, wines pretty good, tried the Brownie Sundae and that was better than the main course. Came back the 2nd night. I'd highly recommend.

Avoid at all costs. I will start this by letting you know I am ill after eating here on our anniversary. Now the fun details: first, we were the youngest people by 30 years in the place. My lobster bisque was "off" and by no means fresh and crazy hot and congealed. Thanks microwave and I am sure probably the culprit of my stomach distress. It was served on a doily!! (Dripping sarcasm) it matches the stained white tablecloth. The next wonderful experience we had was another waitress setting the table for 10 next to us before their arrival. She came out from behind the bar with two handfuls of lemon slices in a bowl made by her hands and then proceeded to put one on every glass. Gross!! Our dinners were average at best. My wife's steak had potential but if you don't clean your broiler/grill then the gristle burns onto the steak!! The taste was not appealing. I had the chicken parm Mediterranean special. Chicken was good, served with WAY too much angel hair pasta with not so fresh spinach mixed in. All of our meals came with the typical 1980s garnish. I will admit the fresh baked mini pretzel bread things were good, glad we requested those!! So please, elderly of Findlay and others, please go somewhere else as to avoid a night of food related illness.

We went to this restaurant last night and will never go there again. The food was dry and horrible and overcooked and part of it was burnt. The service was just as bad as the food. The waitress actually said "I will try," when we had to flag her down to get refills on our drinks. This restaurant is obviously short staffed and needs new employees in the kitchen and in the dining room. And to top it all of, we were up all night feeling sick after eating there.

We visit here often and have never been disappointed! The chef is very talented and offers such a wonderful menu with new fresh foods often. Steaks are always delicious and the soups are too. Portions are shareable because they are very generous!

We LOVE this place. The people who work this restaurant work hard and remain beyond friendly... This community supports this restaurant and missed it during the covid crisis. They're back and so are their fansThe food is phenomenal and offers a large selection. If you were going to criticize anything it would be the potions.... I cant eat that much. Lol. We love Kim Shannon and Trevor.... And we support them 100%.

If you are traveling through Findlay, a guest at the Findlay Inn, or live in or around Findlay but have not tried The Tavern at the Inn, you should do so and soon, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. This is one of our favorite local restaurants. The dining room sports a really beautiful bar and plenty of seating, that can accommodate large groups, as well as small intimate groups. There is also an outdoor patio for dining. The staff are all very personable and friendly. Chef Jared will personally come out and greet his guest. My husband and I wanted Veal Piccata which was not on their menu, so Chef made it special for us, it was the best we have had.
