Taste of Country

Amazing people and amazing food. They have anything you will need to satisfy a craving. This store is a one stop shop. Whether it be a gift for someone last minute, a meal to be shared with friends, to ice cream and milkshakes to celebrate a game victory, they have everything you could ever want it need!

My mom and I came to the lunch buffet. You order and pay on the main level then go up about 6 steps to the buffet area. Pizza, tacos, and salad buffet. A nice variety of fresh salad ingredients. The pizzas were homemade and very tasty. There is a fountain for self serve Pepsi products. There was even homemade Texas sheet cake on the buffet. A repeat visit is definitely in our plans.After lunch we shopped around in the store- many homemade food items.

I absolutely love this place! We where in Mt Vernon and I got on Yelp to look for highly recommended locally owned places and saw this place in a neighboring town and oh my god this food is wonderful. The staff was awesome and they have a cute little country store as well.

Great place! We stopped in for a quick bite and really enjoyed it! Neat atmosphere!Both daughters had the chicken quesadilla and enjoyed them. My wife and I had sandwiches and both were good sized and tasted great! There are likely some other goodies that I will be taking home - just have to decide which one(s)!Thanks for lunch!

Everything I have ever tried from here is bland bland BLAND. Salads, sandwiches, burgers, everything. I've tried at least 8 things and nothing was enjoyable.If you want flavor, go elsewhere. Otherwise, I'm sure this place would be great if you had a stomach flu and could only eat simple foods that wouldn't upset your sensitive stomach.They do have a good selection of spices, random vegetables (which is useful because there is no grocery store in town anymore) and homemade treats. Which are quite delicious and it's why I've given them 2 stars instead of 1.

The hot meatloaf sandwich on molasses bread is fantastic. Sometimes I'll treat myself to a cup of coffee and a breakfast burrito to start the day. They've got a lovely nook in the front window to sit and watch the world go by, and additional seating in the back. The ginger molasses cookies are irresistible.

Always stop in here for sandwiches when we are in town. They are all very good. Huge fresh salads and amazing breakfasts. Have never had a bad item off the menu. All fresh and homemade delicious foods

I had an event going on locally and Tricia was spectacular! She made it super easy for my entire group to order their own sandwiches and subs with her group ordering menu. She even went out of her way to deliver to us! She was very responsive throughout the whole planning process. I highly recommend Taste of Country for all your lunch and catering needs. And I only buy my spices here whenever I come back into town!

My wife and I tried it for breakfast Saturday morning. It was really good. We will definitely be back,it was well worth the drive. We need a good breakfast place in knox county. This is at the top of the list. Staff was great,friendly also they have a good store for bake goods and meat and cheese.
