I came out this way looking for Los Chilangos at the recommendation of a friend, but they have now been replaced by (or rebranded as) Taqueria San Angel. It was a short wait for the food, mostly because they were busy and because the food was fresh-cooked, including handmaking the corn tortillas on the spot. My two gorditas were cheap ($6 total), more than enough food for lunch, and most importantly, astoundingly delicious. The al pastor was tasty, the gorditas themselves came with generous helpings of tomato, lettuce, and black bean, and the housemade tortillas were amazing - just slightly charred, but light and delicate. The two salsas that accompanied the gorditas were also good, particularly the salsa verde which was also clearly housemade, being tangy and bright in a way that you rarely encounter from taco truck salsas. There's a lot of taco trucks in Columbus, and I admit I went to Taqueria San Angel with no particularly high expectations, but I have to say they are probably one of the best in the city. The steady stream of customers that arrived and departed while I was there would certainly seem to indicate that's an accurate statement.
