Let me preface this by saying I'm a huge fan of Korean and Mexican, and I know that TaKorea is a fusion restaurant, therefore the food won't be authentic. I dunno, man...the pics look great but this food was weird and underwhelming. We tried the bulgogi burrito and a chicken teriyaki bowl, plus a birria egg roll. The sauces were meh and the food itself fell short. The combination of flavors just didn't hit quite right. Did I eat half of it? Yes. Would I order it again? No.

We really enjoyed the casual vibes of the place. The food was pretty ok. I was not expecting that the bulgogi nachos would just be regular steak in a sweet sauce. Big missed opportunity there for something good to be great. I enjoyed my birria burrito and my husband enjoyed his Korean fried chicken burrito, but my teen HATED her naked Korean fried chicken, saying it was tough and rubbery, and the sea salt fries were way too salty. The salt was aggressive. Pouring salt directly into our mouths would have been less salty. The service was not unpleasant but it was clear that they rely on takeout more than sit down, and they are more comfortable with their regulars than people coming in off the street. Will I go back if invited? Yes. Will I go out of my way to go back? No chance.

Interesting concept.Have been ordering in more recently, so I tried TaKorea.It's a mix of Mexican and Korean-inspired cuisine and they really go full send on the idea.I tried both egg rolls, the Korean fried chicken burrito, and a birria quesadilla.They offer lots of different sauces including a spicy Korean BBQ sauce. That one was interesting.I actually liked everything I tried from there, albeit none of it felt super authentic. I wasn't expecting that, but it's to be noted. The consomme for the birria was super thin so it didn't really add a lot to the experience. The guacamole was pretty good. I would definitely order from there again and potentially try something new. I think the Korean fried chicken burrito was my favorite item, but it needed more sauce.

Delivery of birria eggrolls, bulgogi quesadilla, and Korean fried chicken burrito. Everything was perfect. Unexpected flavor combos that 100% WORK. Why is this not a more common fusion style???

This is now at the gaming cafe in the campus gateway; or maybe they also still have the ghost kitchen on Essex? Anyway, we came to play games, and got hungry, and the food smelled good plus they have an interesting menu. Also kid-friendly-ish: Baby K got mini corndogs, but also could have gotten fries or grilled cheese, so, score. The corndogs were a massive portion, and surprisingly good. I got Korean chicken for myself, and a birria eggroll. The eggroll was huge, and perfectly cooked: crispy outside, held together. The filling, meh: I don't know, too many sweet peppers? The beef was okay, not as good as I'd hoped. The chicken was darn good: crispy, big meaty chunks, in a sweet and slightly spicy sauce that did not soften the crunch. Really good.We also got a pop, and an Oreo milkshake which shook Baby K's world. Great service. Decent prices for the quantity and quality. Large, interesting menu. Wings, pizza, chicken, sides, much more.

Their Korean Fried chicken is delicious! It would be hard not to get that on everything. We had the boneless wings and the birrea taco. Delicious! We will be back.

Really delicious food. We catered TaKorea for lunch and it was excellent. Highly recommend the birria tacos and KFC!

It was my first time trying TaKorea. I ordered it through DoorDash, and had it delivered. It was like Korean version of Chipotle. Overall the food was tasty! The burrito was quite big and flavorful~ I liked the fried chicken too. It was cooked perfectly and the meat was very juicy. But I didn't like the taco. The meat was dry, and it tasted a little plain to me as well.

Anything on the menu with Korean Fried Chicken is worth getting, from the nachos to the burrito to the chicken itself. Just so delicious.Other meats are less good but this place is worth going to for the chicken alone.Yelp location is wrong btw - use Google Maps, the place is in Gateway next to the movie theater

Decent flavor and meal. Sooooo greasy though you'd think the theme would be American not 2 other cuisines
