Had to stop by when in Marion! The meat is amazing as are the sides! Take the time to order and pick up or use the picnic table for an impromptu picnic.

Pulling up I noticed the smell- oooh, smoked meats. I want my BBQ places to be, well, not fancy, and to smell like slow-smoked meat. Give me good food and a table, and I'm fine. There are a few picnic tables outside, and three or four small tops inside. Service was great, prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity. And oh, the quality- my ribs looked perfect, and the taste lived up to that impression. Deep smoke flavor, a perfect crust, pulling off the bone with just a little tension. No sauce needed, but they have a couple of very good sauces. The mustard was my favorite, but just barely. I also got baked beans. Thick, sweet, tangy, yum. I got a brisket sandwich to go, for lunch at work. They packed the bun and meat separate, and gave me more little sauces. They know their business. The brisket was tender, full of flavor, and gone in a heartbeat. Only knock is the tea wasn't very sweet. I'll be back. I think they do catering, too.

Decided to drive out to this business today. It shares space with a drive thru. I ordered a brisket sandwich which had a small amount of brisket compared to most places. It had a little smoky flavor but was a little sour tasting. It came with coleslaw which was slightly creamy with a sweet taste. Also had the mac n cheese which was made with spiral pasta and white cheddar cheese, this was the non-baked version. Very tasty. Also had the corn bread bake, it was their version of corn pudding. It was a little moist but drier than moist and lighter than most versions. Also had the baked beans which had chopped onion, pulled pork in it, had a sweet taste to them. They were definitely the best of the stuff I had.

Food was just ok in my opinion. Baked beans were great. Cornbread was good. Pulled pork not very flavorful. BBQ sauce is store bought. Very fast service and reasonable prices.

Excellent food with great smoky flavor. Mac n cheese is with a white sauce and excellent!

Tackett's BQ, you're officially one of my fav places to eat! I tried " The Mac" -is pulled pork and " The Clucklin" -is pulled chicken. I had them on 2 separate days.. both 5 STAR comfort foods!! The Mac was my fav tho..., but I liked both! lol....All I had to add was my favorite condiment "ranch dressing" and a lil black pepper!!! Yummmm.... both " GOOD TO THE LAST DROP!!!! Glad I was home tho to place them on a plate bc both are huge! Def worth the money! O'... also tried banana pudding and it is good too. Add just a lil more vanilla waffers plz...Nxt time I will just add a lil cool whip to mine... I love cool whip!!..lol...lol...or I will ask u to add cool whip for me...?? The food was amazing and the service was very friendly! Got a bbq platter and it all was delicious.

Stopped on road trip and was not disappointed! The family Had mac n cheese, brisket nachos, and 2 pulled pork sandwiches, big mac daddy potato, and 4 drinks for under $40! Staff was welcoming and very friendly, definitely worth checking out this road side stop!

I was disappointed. Ribs and brisket were dry and not very smoky tasting. I'd give the beans a "4". Slaw was just ok. Bread pudding was awful. There is no inside seating. I assume this is COVID related.

It was the end of their day, we ended up with something that looked like purée meat. Did not look like pork. This was my first time trying it. After one bite, went somewhere else to eat. I so wanted to like it. It will be a year before I try it again
