I moved out of sycamorehouse in September, today is Thanksgiving, and I'm still waiting for them to refund my deposit, I'm pretty sure I got a cleaning company to clean the apartment before I moved out. I lived in here for 2.5 years while waiting for my new house to be build up and it was the worst rental experience I've ever had, noisy day and night, trash everywhere, unhelpful front desk...so disappointed, now I just hope I get my deposit soon!

at least 2 cars that I know of have been STOLEN from the property this week! Asked to have cameras checked (which are clearly visible) on Tuesday & have not heard back. Something needs to be done, it is getting ridiculous. Your "management" is highly lacking & your residents are suffering. Shame on you!

I have HAD water leaking in my shower and they have ignored me. They have done nothing since I reported the damage over a month ago for the second time. The management co. & this complex are unprofessional and do not care about their residents! This place is nothing like it was a year ago when it was owned by Preferred Living. *WARNING: DO NOT MOVE HERE!

We just moved out of Sycamore House to move out of Columbus to DC however we really loved living there. The first company that owned the apartments was definitely subpar (live preferred) however when Oakmont Properties took over they worked extremely hard to make things right. Sydney (listed below) was the initial property manager who definitely struggled, when we as a community complained they realized Sydney was in over her head as a new young manager and replaced her with Belinda. Belinda was/is AMAZING! She was swift to fix anything we needed, listened and sympathize to our complaints and was so warm. Caroline and Allison who work with Belinda also are wonderful. Our 5 year old loved going in to see them. The only con I would say is that if your a family and don't want to hear pool noise you might not want to live poolside (which is easy to do since they have a lot of units). Our apartment was luxurious and we were sad to leave!

Update: they are now bribing people to leave positive reviews with prizes (see photo). Beware any reviews that are short and don't seem to mesh with the rest.DON'T live here. It was great before it was sold to Oakmont Properties, but the management does literally NOTHING to keep the place together or filter who they let live here. There's always trash everywhere and I've seen the police show up for several domestic violence disputes....Maintenance has walked into our apartment unannounced and without permission to enter TWICE (and with no reason to enter). We have a big dog who could have easily bitten him, and the second time they walked in unannounced, I was asleep and half undressed. We emailed several managers about this and requested they do something about it, and no one even bothered to reply to us. Front desk staff said this has been a common occurrence and even resulted in the maintenance staff getting a GUN pulled on him-very sketchy.Front desk is never staffed, stinky trash everywhere. The drainage areas that are supposed to be lakes are mosquito-infested mud pits, the pool is always closed, and the grills don't work. Front desk staff is rude and not helpful (if they're even there to answer the phone).Parking lot FLOODS badly; I drive a large SUV and it's still way past my hubcaps. My roommate had water come in through the bottom of his car's doors and soak his car's floor. Water gets to be easily 8 inches deep in some parts of the parking lot and I recently watched someone lose their bumper to one of these lakes (there's no way to get into the complex without driving through this deep water). Mold has also been a big problem in our apartment... The entire complex is built on top of what used to be a swamp.Gave us 12 hours notice that we needed to get rid of our grill (after a year of living there), when they have the bulk trash locked up so we can't use it. The list of problems goes on and on..... It's disappointing because this place used to be really nice with great staff before it was sold.I never write reviews, but this place has been so bad that I felt it was necessary.

My husband and I have lived here for over 2 1/2 years. We have been at the complex since it was builded. Oakmont properties first managed the complex and then Preferred Living came in and it did not run the smoothest (in my opinion). Then, they made Belinda in charge and since then have finally found the best front desk ladies, Taylor and Tawny (other than a few others from before).In the past year, they have added security camera across the entire the faculty, from every angle to reduce break-in/theft. They have had a trash issue due to residents putting trash in the compactor that cannot go there (such as strollers and shelves and yes some of the residents do this).And I cannot reiterate how amazing the front desk girls, Belinda and maintenance team are. They have became a second family to us while we are here. You will love it here. A year ago, you may not have, but it continues to get better. Plus, you become friends with families and friends in the complex. They always have events for the residents and you have to go!Plus, the amenities are great-movie room, workout area, pool table and free Starbucks!

I moved in about a month and ago and let me tell you $$ best apartments in Hilliard in my opinion. affordable, plenty amenities, and the new staff are amazing !! Devon answered all of my questions about living here fast and easy, she's great at her job. The gym is nice and they have plenty of space to workout. The apartments themselves are player !! The pool is huge and issa vibe !! I've lived out here for about 4 years and this was my best option by far. I recommend any and almost everybody to move into sycamore house you won't regret it I promise!!!!

Many things wrong with this place, I still live here but only because my lease isn't up yet but I will not be resigning another lease. Issues include, maintenance is a joke and take forever to fix issues properly, multiple cars have been and are still being broken into, if it rains for a few hours and you have a car you will be trapped in the apartment due to both exits being flooded, they make promises they do not keep like year round pool etc. Highly advise look somewhere else, this place looks good from the outside but has a lot of unhappy residents.

Update: Called Sydney and asked why we were charged $75 for the walls when she specifically told us we wouldn't be. Her response was "Oh I'm sorry, I do have a list of tenants who were supposed to be excluded from that charge so that might be a mistake on my part" (note that she said NO ONE would be charged because they did such a horrible job painting in the first place) she actually ended up saying that she had our pictures mixed up with another apartment 104. So I said okay then are you sure we should've been charged the $700 for the carpet replacement? She was like oh yeah I'm for sure about that. I'll send you the pictures to your email as soon as we get off the phone. Never got the pictures. Called her again today to confirm she had the right email and to ask if she would re send it because I never got it. She said she sent it to that email already but she acted like she was re sending it again on the phone and surely enough she never really did! I've checked every part of my email, trash and everything, and I've yet to receive one of these pictures proving we owe them $700 for carpet replacement (AFTER she told us she switched our pictures with another apartment)!! If that doesn't scream SCAM idk what does!!!!! Take it from someone that's lived here don't fall in the trap because of the luxurious facade. They will take your money and give you a sub par apartment, not provide the amenities promised thenthreaten everyone in their stupid little app to take everything we pay for away, they will make your stay shitty and then think of any other scamto take more money when you leave!! FINAL UPDATE: After never receiving the pictures and we were tired of getting the run around from Sydney, we decided to contact the corporate office email. They quickly replied and apologized for the situation, removed both charges, and are now sending us a refund. 3 months since moving out, happy to finally be able to put this behind us!

Management is very bad. Electric bill is very high (250-400) monthly. Pool is very small. Parking is small. You can rent private parking $100 but garages are small too. It's hard to park. Dogs poop everywhere. Etc. Believe me , you don't want to live there.
