Sweet Designs Specialty Cakes

If you have never been to Sweet Designs Custom Cakes located at 7514 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, you are missing a real treat!When my daughter and her fiance started planning their wedding, they decided that they wanted to use local businesses. As they searched for the place where they wanted to get their wedding cake and cupcakes, Sweet Design Bakery came highly recommended, so they paid the bakery a visit. Homero, the owner, was so easy to work with and very gracious with his time and suggestions. He provided them with several samples of his cupcakes and really listened to what they wanted. This is one of the reasons why they chose Sweet Design Bakery to make their wedding cake and the filled cupcakes. Both were huge hits at the reception and several people asked who made the fabulous desserts. Needless to say, we were only too happy to provide them with the contact information for Sweet Designs Custom Cakes, includingtheir website where you will see samples of his work. For those who like variety, the bakery has different flavors on different days that will satisfy anyone's sweet tooth! Give them a try and trust me, you won't be disappointed!Right now there is construction going on East Main Street but trust me, it is certainly worth making a trip to his shop.

I have used Sweet Designs for over 4 years now. Hands down the best cupcakes/cakes I've ever ordered. They are always fresh, and the icing is not too heavy. The decorations are amazing. We always get compliments on them! I love to stop by on a Saturday and grab a few for the week. These are just 2 dozen (of the 4, that were ALL gone by the end of the day) and the larger cupcake I had made for my niece. Give your taste buds a favor and stop by sometime!

They were able to design the perfect cake for my party! It was perfect! We had red velvet and white cake with fresh strawberries, which were both delicious! We will be coming here from now on for all of our custom cake needs!

I went in the other day after stopping at Tyler's next door to checkout what the shop may have to offer. It was my first time there and they had some Mexican sweet breads and some cupcakes, so I decided to grab some for the road. I chose a chocolate cupcake and an Oreo one. They were both decent. I also picked up a couple sweetbreads to have with coffee and they were also pretty good.Here's the negative.. Drain flies/gnats.. Mind you that this is the middle of winter and there is no reason they should be that bad... To the point of having to swat at them.. I HATE seeing them in businesses bc as long as you keep your doors closed and drains bleached and cleaned, you shouldn't have that problem. Obviously they do some good cake work, etc. and this isn't the worst review ever , but the owner/workers need to do a better job of cleaning if they don't want to scare away new customers. Because to be honest, drain flies bother me so much that I don't know if I will ever step foot in there again.. Hopefully they get that issue fixed fast..

I stopped in today with my husband and we got to meet Homero, the owner of Sweet Designs Specialty Cakes and he was very accommodating. He showed us what he could do, how it was made and we were able to taste the deliciousness of his cupcakes. He went out of his way to make sure we knew exactly what we would be getting and how great it would taste. I can not wait to see my finished custom made cupcakes. I would definitely recommend Sweet Designs Specialty Cakes and the owner, Cake Designer Homero Acuna.

My wedding cake from here was absolutely beautiful and delicious. Thank you for the wonderful cake. My husband and I couldn't decide on chocolate or white . We choose marble with strawberries in the middle.

Homero did an incredible job on this red velvet cake for my mom's birthday. We live in Florida and I called to order the cake a week in advance. Flew to Columbus and picked this up on my way from the airport. The cake was very moist with a great flavor, and he decorated it exactly as I asked. Overall great experience and I will stop here again next time I'm in town. My mom loved it and the icing is addicting!

This place did a fantastic job on my sister's birthday cake. Not only was the cake beautiful, but it tasted amazing. I'm usually not a big fan of desserts, but this cake was sooo good. It was cookies and cream cake with an Oreo cream filling between the three layers. The baker helped me decide on the design. I'm glad I trusted his advice. I will definitely be back for future cake needs! As an aside, just so you know their cakes are large, and well priced.

I had a baseball hat cake made for my husband's birthday. It was so realistic all the way down to the stitching. The cake was a very moist delicious chocolate with salted carmel butter cream icing. The icing was so light and flavorful. I liked the fact that he didn't put the fondant directly on the cake but had a very light layer of the butter cream icing in between. Definately a home run! Highly recommend and the price was very reasonable.

I got a cake for my birthday and it was so cute and well-done! This is a great shop for quality products that are delicious!
