If you are a fan of the Slovakian/Hungarian dumpling called the pierogi... there is no better authentic pierogi chef than Lizz the owner of Sweet Cle bus. This is a mom and pop shop, located at 447 Lazelle Road, not too far from Polaris Mall.. the store front might be small, but the flavor of these pierogi are big! The filling size is generous. She is creative with her flavors. She changes her fillings regularly, so before you go, always check her facebook page to check what the weekly or monthly flavors are her page is under "sweet CLE-'bus". This month she partnered with Ray Rays for her Dawg Pound, hot honey jerk Chicken and the Smokehouse Brisket/cheddar. I cant wait to taste the fourth flavor... the pickle and the dessert flavor, the gertrude! Seriously, if you grew up like I did and grandma or grandpa made these.... But now they are gone... Lizz brings back those memories and those wonderful flavors with her perfectly crafted pierogi. They are delicious! Our very picky grandparents would give her 5 stars. There are none better in Columbus.

Stumbled on this, and went back as soon as I could. Any pierogi place is worth celebrating, and these are handmade, big, tasty ones in a rotating variety of flavors. Today they had several variations of standard potato, potato and cheese, sauerkraut, etc. I got some potato and cheese (cheddar and Colby) and "Village," which is kraut and kielbasa. They also had a whiskey-marinated sauerkraut and a few others. On weekends they have kolacki. Great stuff, great service, reasonable prices. If they have excess at the end of the day they give them to local fire stations. Wish it was closer to me, but I will be back.

Oh yeah!! Thankful we finally stopped at the quant pierogi palace! We stopped this weekend on customer appreciation day for the first time. These high quality pierogi's are hand made by the owner who has strong Polish ties. She is super friendly and runs a fantastic well priced business. The pierogis are tasty, hearty and a wonderful option for any meal or fun party appetizer. They also have some really good homemade deserts. Great menu, great restaurant!! Thank you!

After seeing an ad for Sweet CLE-'bus's grand opening last week, my girlfriend and I were happy to be among the first in line when the business opened. I love a good pierogi, and it's hard to find them fresh (i.e. NOT Mrs. T's in the frozen section of the supermarket). The line was about ten deep when we arrived, though after twenty minutes or so, we noticed that there were at least another twenty people in line outside. Service was a *tad* slow, but that is certainly understandable for the first day (first hour!) of business. They had several varieties available for purchase, all of them costing about $2 or $2.50 each. If that sounds expensive, it's really not, as these pierogi are BIG. Deceptively big. We wound up buying twelve -- four "cheesebombs," four bacon, chive, and cheddar, and four cheddar and onion. When we got home for lunch later, I decided to pan fry them with a small chopped up onion, some minced garlic, and a healthy (or rather, UNhealthy) dollop of butter. I realized just how big they were, and only wound up cooking half of them (about three minutes or so on each side). We'd bought some of their store-made dill-and-garlic sour cream as well, and that was a good accompaniment. Overall, I can imagine it's a place we might return to. The flavors are expected to have some turnover every month, and some of the options that were on the board (but weren't available today) were tantalizing. A sign above the counter makes it clear that the proprietor (Liz) is a home baker at heart, but that's more of a bonus than a bug, in my opinion. Hopefully Sweet CLE-'bus sticks it out and thrives for years to come.

My boyfriend and I went here in its first hour of opening. I'm glad we did because when we left there was a line all around the parking lot. When the pierogis sell out, they're done for the day, so go early! (FYI, the store is hard to find; it's next to an alterations place.) We ordered 12 pierogis - bacon/cheddar, cheddar bomb and cheddar/onion; tho the choices change monthly. They're a big, pillowy bundle of goodness! Best pan fried with butter and onions. Overall, Sweet Cle-'Bus offers a satisfying meal that truly tastes homemade.

This place is so unassuming but will knock your expectations out of the park. Their Cheesebomb is heavenly, the white cheddar jalapeño pierogi packs a punch and I count myself lucky to have also gotten to try the limited release Smokehouse Brisket and Cheddar. Fast and friendly service even with a line out the door. Definitely going back! The packaging is adorable and I love the customized stamps to help differentiate them once they are boxed. One of the cleanest kitchens I've ever seen!

Yummy, authentic Polish perogi. We like to buy a bunch of different flavors and eat them family style. The sweet treats are pretty amazing too when they have them.

Growing up near cleveland, pierogis are one of my all time faves and these are PERFECT! All types are different enough and stand alone great. The spicy kraut one is not to be missed. Even the traditional pierogi lovers will love it!
