Superheroes for parties

Wonderful experience!!We hired "Batman" from Awesome Family Entertainment for my nephew's 4th birthday. My nephew is obsessed with Batman, and although the price initially seemed a little steep ($150 for 30 mins) it was more than worth it. We had the party at a Glow Putt place in Gahanna and asked our entertainer in advance if he would play putt putt with him, and he happily agreed. Batman arrived on time, about 10 mins before the birthday boy, and waited for his arrival. When my nephew came in and laid his eyes on Batman he was ECSTATIC. (It actually brought a tear to my eye seeing how excited he was and how real it was for him.) My nephew and Batman set out to putt putt, and Batman made him feel like he was the only kid in the building. He gave him his undivided attention as they chatted, joked around, and golfed like they were the best of friends. It melted all of our hearts seeing them having such a wonderful time together and how in tune Batman was with him. This experience was just so much more than we could have ever hoped for, and it was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend AFE- and especially who plays Batman. He was such a nice, professional guy, and we absolutely loved him.

4 stars - We called AWESOME ENTERTAINMENT from California for the mother-in-law's 72nd birthday (in Oho) a few days before a scheduled celebratory restaurant dinner. It was easy to set up and pay for by phone. We received a confirming telephone call from the "performer" a few hours before the scheduled appearance. An hour before I called the restaurant to let them know. "Elvis" was right on time, led a happy birthday sing-along, spoke with everyone and presented party beads and balloons to the "birthday girl." We were very satisfied with how easily it was handled, that it was delivered as advertised and on time. Thank you, "Elvis!"

Terrible customer service. I had to call 3 times to verify drop off time. They left the inflatable in my yard for 4 days. I had to call for them to come pick it up. Sent owner this picture and he offered to "come throw some grass seed down". Avoid this company and irresponsible owner. Curtis has no business ethics. Pay more to rent from a good company.

I am a corporate event planner for family picnics and I take this business very seriously for the past 20 years.Early this year, I booked Awesome Family Entertainment several months in advance. I utilized them for  8 large inflatable games/bounces/slides, concession machines - cotton candy, popcorn and sno-cone, 10 awesome carnival games with lots of small and medium prizes, several face painters and balloon twisters and four different cartoon characters, a magician, origami artist and the staff to operate the equipment and manage the day.My rep from A.F.E. was very nice, informative and very helpful throughout the entire process.He guided me through their well informed website, their policies and provided me with helpful hints to plan my party. They are way more than just a rental company, more like event advisors that truly cares about your over all event, just not their individual aspect.The day of my event, their staff showed up ahead of time, set up all the inflatables and equipment. Their entertainers were on time and very well groomed. Their staff was friendly and wearing company shirts with their logo, which made them very professional for our guests.The face painters were amazing, Connie and Tiffa were the best face painters I have ever seen for company parties. The balloon twisters worked quick, were friendly and very creative.  The magician - Bruce was very good and held the kids and adults attention pretty well. He had an outgoing personality and a million one liners.The cartoon characters are amazing and very interactive. Just be aware that it does take some time for them to switch costumes, so plan accordantly. Their costumes look very good and well maintained! I must say our 300 guests had a totally AWESOME TIME and my client was very pleased with their over all service and I would defiantly recommend them to any of my clients and the readers of this review.Well worth the money for peace and mind! Thank you for the wonderful day and I am sure we will be utilizing your company many more times in the near future!

Quick, easy, and very friendly! Hours before my party, I realized it'd be better if I could rent some tall tables. I figured I was too late, but the nice team at AFE saved the day! Even though they were clearly prepping for much larger weekend events, they treated me so well. I'm thrilled to now have a go-to event rental spot--thank you!

Loved the bounce house we got from Awesome Family Entertainment! It was freshly cleaned and worked great! Quickly setup by the team, ready to go in minutes! HOURS of fun! I'd say my ONLY criticism was the 20 minute notice I receive that they were on their way to pick it up. I wasn't home and couldn't make sure it was clean before they got it. No issues. I didn't allow shoes or food, so it was fine. Just made me feel bad I couldn't clean it out.

My 4 yr old son is having a his 5th birthday party on May 31st. I have hired Awesome Family Entertainment to help with that event. This review is and will be based on my entire experience and I will update it as it progresses.As I understand it, I will receive 40~45 mins of costume character time. They will get to play games, sing songs and take some pictures. This was 200$ and was fair to me. I was able to pay 100 upfront and I payed the other hundred a few weeks later.Every time I have called I have worked with Curtis and he has been helpful and cordial on the phone. Answered all questions and was able to work with me to get what I needed. The company has 80+ mascots, however I needed a Sonic the Hedgehog which was not on their list. I thought I was out of luck. They ordered the costume for me! Its being made as I write this. This level of support really does make them Awesome. I will be dad of the year, and I have a new reliable and friendly source to turn to when I need entertainment for children's parties. I will update this review after the party. I am really looking forward it.We had the party on 5/31/2015 and it was a great success. Sonic arrived on a few minutes early and called me prior to entering. Sonic was in character the whole time and was very friendly and easy to work with. I couldn't imagine the level of effort it takes to keep up with kids while wearing one of the costumes but Sonic did a good job.When Sonic first enter the birthday area he greeted the children warmly and waved. We noticed when we was watching the home video that when the birthday boy (bb) was running up to Sonic he was about to try to give him a hug and Sonic stuck his hand out to shake it. I think this threw the child off a little because it's not really what he expected friends to do. It took him a few minutes to warm up to Sonic after that but soon they were playing on bounce houses, shooting laser tag, and the bb was leading Sonic around by the hand introducing him to his family and friends. I am the planner for a country club in the Northern Columbus area. Our clients expect the very best from us and Awesome Entertainment exceeds the best to Awesomeness!I recently utilize this company for our holiday events several times in the month of December!Their character actors are great and Santa was full of the holiday spirit!All acts were on time and new how to get the kids and adults involved!Will be using them again this summer!Thank you!

I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in the service on Saturday. I'm pretty sure it was this girls first time. She had no experience.She had NO excitement, she lost the children's attention immediately, when she walked in she was like a deer looking at head lights, she kept looking at the women that was with her every few minutes. She had no clue what the heck she was doing. I'm so disappointed and will no recommend or use your company again. Sent from my iPhone

WORST ever experience with the owner/manager. Curtis was rude & he lacks common sense. They charged us over $115 per hr for 3 hours & offered an hr as complimentary. However, the setup & deflating the bounce house took close to 2 hours. On expressing dissatisfaction, the guy started calling me names & also charged me 200 for security deposit just to prove the point that he can charge me. I wish I had chosen a different company, these guys (atleast Curtis) do not have ethics. Please DO NOT choose the company.
