You'll need a lot more time than I had to meander your way through this international treasure trove!! I got here with only half an hour to shop, but plan to be back SOON to check out their GREAT selection of fruits, vegetables, and TONS of authentic ingredients from around the world, esp. Asia and L. America. One tiny complaint, there are MANY items with prices not marked. Was a little nervous about choosing items with the "mystery prices." I love all the wonderful international markets in the Columbus area!! The west side is AMAZINGLY diverse (as is most of the city...) and I love it!! This semi hidden gem is ALMOST as good as Saraga on the North side, and 1000x better than anything we've got in the Springfield/Dayton area. No restaurants/food stands inside, but PLENTY of TEMPTING food trucks nearby. You'll be HUNGRY when you leave here!!Take a break from the same old-same old Kroger/Meijer/etc. options and check out your WONDERFUL international options, Columbus!!!

I brought my mother in law here because we're both very passionate about cooking and I introduced her to a bunch of different things to cook with! The staff here are pretty good, they're always super efficient and helpful. I've seen some reviews saying this place is slow but it's pretty steady when I go (during the week mostly)

I love coming here for my international seasonings. It makes my food so authentic. They have a seafood boil spot and the hot food bar is delicious. My only issue is when they switch the store around ingredients are stocked in different aisles that don't make sense. There isn't a Caribbean aisle, or Japanese aisle. Things are all over.

Love this grocery store and so close to my neighborhood! Sad the new restaurant pho wasn't that exciting. Broth lacked flavor. Not the worst pho I've had, but wished for better. They should keep fish sauce in the tables and work on building that broth flavor! So many good ingredients right at their finger tips. :( bummer. Also the plastic spoon they provided isn't going to help much. Luckily I am proficient with chopsticks.

Sunrise, which has a pretty solid market at the intersection of Kenny & Henderson, recently opened up another location out on West Broad, directly across from the casino. I happened to be out that way a week ago, and figured I would go check them out. They're still opening up, and it shows. Expect to see some unpainted drywall, and lots of unopened boxes. There were a couple of pauses for various product codes at checkout, although the cashiers themselves were both friendly and helpful. The fresh vegetable selection was decent, but not necessarily better than you would find in the much smaller nearby Asian markets (specifically Lucs and Westgate Thai, both on Sullivant). There was a comprehensive, and frankly, kind of overwhelming selection of frozen and packaged goods, and it appears that the back portion of the store is devoted to wholesale supply, in case you run an Asian restaurant. Bulk fish roe, anyone? The highlight was probably the Hong Kong-style roasted meats stand, which had a nice assortment of choices: roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, roasted pork, char siu, among others. I got the duck, and it was as good as at the Sunrise location on Henderson, and probably about as good as you'll find in town.So three stars for now, but I'll check them out again in a couple of months, when they've painted all the drywall, and hopefully increased their vegetable choices.

A nice, large-ish market. I was looking forward to coming here, and had a chance the other day. It's a bit out of my way, but it's good to have a nice market over here. Not as big as Saraga, or quite as broad a selection, but still all sorts of different items. Snacks, ingredients, dry goods, household goods, etc. A large produce area with plenty of fresh stuff, a large butcher area, even a little food stand up front (roast fowl for now, but maybe more items later?) All the noodles you could ever hope for. I got ramen, some snacks, drinks, and a detergent Sweetie likes and can't find often. Also, since I spent more than $20, a free gift at the register: a large aloe drink. They were still setting up, filling the shelves, but it is 90% done. Friendly service. Good prices.

My husband works right next to Sunrise and has been wanting to go in here since it opened a month or so ago. He just hasn't had time till today to actually walk in and check in out.So we drive here on his day off of work and saw what they had to offer. When I came in it was similar to the CAM set-up with the produce at the front and meats and seafood at the back area. Each aisle had the noodles, sauces, etc you need to enjoy your meal. I guess the part I liked most was being able to sample the noodles and coconut water at the front of the store. The noodles were on sale for $7.99 for a huge pack. I would have bought them, but was worried they would stay in the closet and I would forget to eat them by the expiration date. Definitely coming back again as I loved the noodles and probably want some other goodies here, I can't get at any other grocery store.

SIM is your average international supermarket - which means it is absolutely AMAZING! This is the only place where I am able to find reasonably priced live lobsters. A few weekends ago, I was able to get a 1.5 pound hard shell lobster for 7.99 a pound. This price has been one of the best I've seen in the Midwest. There is a good assortment of foods, with a majority of it being Asian or Hispanic products. They also have a decent selection of homewares as well. Great place to swing by if you are in the area.

This international grocery store popped up on the west side many months ago, and us locals were waiting not-so-patiently for the day it would finally open. That day has arrived! They are still in the process of getting everything set up, but will hopefully have a few carry-out food vendors in the front (they have several open stalls right now). They have a great variety of packaged food products from China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia,Mexico, and South America - LOTS of stuff that I've never heard of and am interested to try. For those who are newbies to international food products (like myself), they also have a deli in the back with Boar's Head meats and cheeses! The produce has a nice mix of the known and the exotic, and you can get some great prices on bulk sprouts and herbs. A whole aisle of various noodles, and another row of every possible sauce on the planet. There is a ton of random frozen fish and other frozen treats like dumplings, steam buns, and potstickers. Check out the few rows of kitchen items and bowls in the back. There were a lot of cute ramen and soup bowls, as well as pretty ceramic tea kettles and sushi plates. This place has a weird smell when you walk in - but I have learned that this is the smell of an international market... do not be alarmed, and you'll adjust as you navigate the aisles. The staff are very welcoming and seem excited to be open. Come check this place out and pick up a new food item to try!
