This was our 5th stay in 3 years. It appears to have changed ownership a couple of times, but things still seem to be operating pretty well with a few changes recently. They have simplified the entrance/exit making it easier to come and go. The pool was in great shape this time. But the splash pad is not turned on yet. I did see where they added new jump pads, one normal size and one huge! This is right next to a new zip line and the kids seem to love both.I decided to splurge on one of their deluxe patio sites since this was my birthday/Father's day present. We got a very nice site back in the BOONDOCKS area which is a nice secluded area not too far from everything else. It does have a nice shower that is ADA compliant, but my only suggestion would be to put a handicap sign up so more abled people can use the others first. Since I was splurging this week, we did take advantage of firewood and ice delivery and they were quick and courteous. I did have an opportunity to reach out for help with their management when an unexpected storm came through. We have a pop up that once you setup and put out the awning, its difficult to get down in a hurry. I used their text number and requested a small step ladder to help me get the awning down and they quickly responded. That was a big help. All in all it was a great stay. My only real issue is with reserving a deluxe patio site, some have propane grills and others have charcoal grills and I don't think you know till you get there, so we had to run our for charcoal.

First time staying at this KOA and a little disappointed . We drove 2.5 hours. The pool and splash pad not open and we didn't find out until arriving,(closed for a few weeks so it could be replaced). Our site was nicely furnished but no shade/trees. The wagon ride was cancelled on Saturday with out a notice. We walked on the trail with the kids but it smelled terrible like sewage and there are no trail markers so we had to back track a few times. One trail took us to a house. The sun catcher paint event was not well put together. They were gone in 1 minute and not enough paint for everyone.Walked to feed the animals and didn't realize it cost a quarter to feed. Absolutely no cash on us. And we lost a headlamp we bought in the store, went to buy another the morning we left and told we were not allowed in the store and it was closed for an emergency. For the amount of money we paid just expected a little more being the holiday weekend. Don't see us coming back. Likes: bathrooms were nice, kids liked playground and jump pad, the paddle boat and life jackets, patio furniture at our site.

With being a KOA worker at an equally as busy KOA we were a bit disappointed with this place. The hours posted on the check in service guide are wrong for everything and your not told at check in. This resulted in our trash being left outside over night multiple times. Big jump pad has a big hole in it, boats at pond are dirty and have trash in them, restrooms by the check in and store are dirty and werent cleaned over the few days we checked and trash left around the playground all week. No Cafe for food and no heaters for the activities through the day at the lodge terrace, cold inside and out. They didnt have a night security guard which allowed kids to scream and yell at the playground while playing basketball from 11pm until 12:30AM when I had to call the night contact # so they would talk to them. Some of the drives and roads need to have the trees trimmed so they don't rub on the RVs. I had to trim the tree in our spot and the trees on the exit road need a good trimming. They had 3 washers/dryers down and the dryers werent working properly, had to add more money to het them dryed. The positives, boats were free to use, 2 playgrounds for the kids, barn yard animals to feed. Grounds were nice but need some work, the store had alot of stuff and they did have alot of fun activities, the bingo was alot of fun but cold....too bad they didn't have any activities for fridays. The laundry room was clean. Even though they didn't have any food available it was cool that they had a waffle truck show up and you could get some food.

Disappointed by how much this KOA went downhill the last few years. Sunbury used to be my large family's favorite KOA to visit. But unfortunately the prices went up and the amenities went DOWN. Pond is either disgusting or closed. And the few times it's open, the inflatables have holes in them. The store, although great to have, is CRAZY overpriced and understaffed. The roads are trash with giant pot holes that trash your car and camper. I get they want to expand, but maybe they should focus on getting things in better working order before doing so. With the prices increasing as much as they have, I doubt we will be back. There are other great KOAs not far that we will visit instead.

Just finished up a 3 night stay and our kiddo had so much fun that she cried when it was time to go home. So many options for kids to do. Pool, splash pad, fishing, paddle boats, jump pad, playground, petting zoo... Themed weekends are jam packed with activities. This is now our favorite place to camp! The pizza on Friday night is delivered right to your campsite and it was delicious!!Tip: Bring fruit and veggies to feed the goats.

Sunbury KOA is by far our favorite camping spot of 2020! They provide a lot of amenities for families between a gem mine, pool, splash pad, Gaga ball pit, playground, ping pong table, small petting zoo, extra schedules activities such as slip and slide, free root beer floats, as well as FREE use of their kayaks and canoes. Sites are fantastic! We were in the boondocks section. Their bathrooms are seriously clean! They also deliver groceries and any ordered food to wherever you are. We ordered some snacks while at the pool and they delivered to our table. And they will deliver fire wood to your campsite.

We had a terrible experience at this KOA. We rented a Deluxe Cabin within their property. It was filthy, lightbulbs out and only one wall AC unit to cool the entire cabin. The cool air does not reach into the full bedroom. The box fans provided were caked in dust and the ceiling fans only worked when the lights were on. The chains were short in order to change this and we had to literally lift my son up to shut the lights off and keep the fan running. Management responded to some of our concerns but left many unaddressed. They had no true care for our family's needs. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend cabins from this location. And we have no future plans to rent from another KOA location because this experience was so terrible.
