My friend hosted a private painting event here with chai and snacks. We were a group of 12 and they had plenty of space for sitting, snacking, and chatting as well as space for the paint set up. I found the place to be very cute and the event made for a super fun afternoon with friends. You are able to bring in your own food and decor and set up there. The studio provides all the painting tools (canvas, brushes, paints, smocks, easle, etc.). My friend hosted us as a treat, so unable to provide costs. The two girls working there were very nice and demonstrated the painting to us. They came around to fill up paint colors, change waters, and to help with the paintings individually. I would love to go again for another artistic experience.

A friend and I made homemade soap bars at Studio 614--it was incredibly easy, super fun, and the soap made for great gifts for my friends and family. I only wish their interior was more thoughtfully decorated. Great for those who want to be crafty!

I reserved Studio 614 for my husbands 50th birthday and it was amazing! Event Coordinator, Emma was awesome and so flexible with her time, as she allowed me to tour the space on several occasions and answered any and all questions. The interior design of the space was one of the selling points for me - it is so funky and fun, I did little of my own decor. We had ~40 guests, the size of the space was perfect! I loved that we could BYOB (we hired a bartender, would totally recommend) as well as our own catering, both of which made the party feel much more unique and personal. We brought in a tv for a slide show and our nephew hooked up his electric guitar for the Happy Birthday. I would 100% recommend Studio 614 for your next event!

I came here as a double date... was so very happy to have something different to do.I don't have an artistic bone in my body, and this is my first time doing something like this. The two staff members were extremely helpful, and kind. They walked us step by step on the basics of our masterpieces while allowing creative control. They were extremely helpful with offering more paint and using a hairdryer to speed up the process and ensuring your piece was dry to take with you. They had a great playlist, allowed food and drink... which allowed an additional level of comfort. This studio also sells lotions and candles, but didn't push the products. They have a stamp program where you can eventually get a free session. This was so much fun... and I think I will return.

Yet another fantastic class at Studio 614! In the past I had taken a string art and paint your pet class here (see original review), so the expectations were high & they exceeded every one again today! I have participated at a similar class at another business for a fundraiser, but it was nothing like the experience I had today. Not only did we get to select from a wide variety of scents & essential oils, but we really got to dive into the entire process. Megan did an outstanding job assisting us with everything from how to create our wick to painting our concrete candle holder and everything in between. There was another staff person on site who specializes in scented oils that provided best info on scent building and pairings. They both floated around the class ensuring that everything was going well.

I've been to a few paint and ships through different companies but Studio 614 is the BEST! Great location, street parking and some behind the studio (get there early for that!) BYOB and food if you want, the staff is always so friendly and helpful! The new lay out is nice too during the pandemic, helps with social distancing! Love the selection of paintings, variety of days and times it's schedule, pricing is reasonable and they have sales (follow them in IG!). Can't wait to bring my son in for a Paint the Stadium event!

First of all, this space is simply gorgeous and inspiring. It has kind of an urban industrial charm to it- furniture made from up-cycled objects such as doors, cinderblocks, tires, boards- tons of unique clocks as well. I found it to be a very relaxing environment. We were walked through step by step how to make a candle which ended up being HUGE - way bigger than I thought it was going to be for sure. It was made inside a planter that can be reused once the candle has burnt out. What was cool about the Studio 614 workshop is that we got to thread the wick and attach it ourselves as well as learn fun tidbits of knowledge about candle making/care and scents. I have made candles elsewhere in Columbus but it was nice how hands-on 614 was in their experience and that we were able to learn something new. I selected Honeysuckle and Beach Linen! The scents were all strong and vibrant and the workshop was filled with so many delightful scents throughout the process. After being assisted with the pouring and mixing, guests were invited to paint their holder however they'd like with acrylic paints and paint markers. It was really cool seeing everyone's different designs and knowing that the candle containers can be recycled into a planter instead of just thrown out. If you are someone who is concerned about natural ingredients, they had essential oil options to choose from to make a 100% natural candle. The wicks were cotton as well. After our candle designs had dried, guests were invited to take a photo before leaving to be posted by Studio 614, if desired, and they offered to take one on your phone as well. We were invited back with a coupon, loyalty card, and a smile! All in all, this was a great workshop and very hospitable staff in my opinion. I witnessed them go around and help each table and provide assistance to any student that needed it. I would definitely recommend Studio 614- they are doing a great job growing Columbus' art scene.

Such a cute and quaint studio! We had a private session making string art and it was loads of fun!The two artists guiding us were very helpful and great with instructions.I would've like a little more time to work on the project, but we were booked for a specific period of time and when time was up, we were out so they could prepare for the next group. I ended up bring supplies home to finish, which they were kind enough to provide. You can bring your own food and drink and they have lots of space to set up snacks separate from crafts.I saw they had a lot of other craft offerings like painting, knitting, wreaths, etc, so I'll definitely think of them for future fun days out!

I've taken three art classes at this studio and have loved them all! I like that they offer more than just paint-in-a-group type classes. So far I've done the string art on wood, make your own essential oil candle, and knit your own blanket. The instructors are always patient and helpful! I also really like that these are skills you can use in the future, maybe to make friends gifts or decorate your own place. The studio space in itself is beautiful! I love how clean and chic is it. Also everything was designed with reclaimed materials - the 'tables' are painted doors. I think that is such a great concept and it shows you there's a lot you can do with old or discarded objects.Highly recommend Studio 614 - always a fun experience! :)
