Really good southern comfort food with great service. Get the brisket and cornbread. And the people are really polite

Delicious sides, creamy mac & cheese, great brisket tender and tasty. The greens were yummy and meat free. Super cornbread sweet and wholesome, fast service and highly recommended.

This was our first time here. This is a drive thru restaurant. We tried the sample meal which allows you to taste a lot on the meat on the menu . The fish and chicken and the lamb chops . The sides we had were delicious greens very tender and seasoned well . The lamb chops definitely cooked and smoked on the grill very tasty . I had 2 different pieces of fish they were delicious. We will definitely go back .

I need to preface this by stating, I'm not much for soul food - I think I may have been raised a little too caucasianally. However, I was open to trying Str8 when a friend asked me to lunch.The staff was so very friendly, and patient.I kept to the sides, as I am usually a side girl anyways. I ordered macaroni and cheese and the yellow rice. The rice was surprisingly my favorite followed by the Mac... my friend enjoyed his greens and told me the cornbread was really good. Honestly, I thought this place was out of business -- it's closed on Mondays, and I'm usually in the area on Mondays ;-)Note - this is take away only, but they do have a drive through.If this is your food type of choice, this appears to be a solid option.

Today was my first time trying it out because someone recommended it to me. Always drove past but never really sure if they were open or what to try. Today I got the chicken wing with Mac and potato salad for the meal and cornbread. My boyfriend got the brisket, baked beans, and Mac and cheese. Everything was so good. The food was hot and fresh and full of flavor. I literally could probably just order sides next time and be happy and full. Wings were fresh and hot. Brisket was tender and saucy. Just delicious. The service was equally great. I had to wait a little because wings had to be dropped fresh so I wasn't even mad about that. It was equally as crispy when I got home. I recommend and will definitely be back. No photo (I dove in before thinking of the photo)

I tried this restaurant b/c my cousin posted about it on IG. The food was very good and seasoned well. Small building on E. Main, you may pass it if you're not looking out for it. There are two lanes for drive-thru. I waited about 5-8mns at the window for my food, but it definitely worth the wait. I'll definitely be going back to try the other items on the menu.

I dont know what's going on with the service line, just don't make sense to me to go place my order then keep driving around, took 35 min waiting on order. The food was worse, I had the turkey rib. Was super burnt, I should of check my food better because I woke up in sweat and had puked all the food back out. Please don't eat here unless you want to puke all night.

Updating my review of this restaurant again because I rely on and appreciate reviews others leave...tried the fish fry Friday (whiting) which was a great deal for $2 per piece. Seasoned and fried to perfection. Nice sized pieces. The only issue was the fish had some bones. Also tried the fried turkey leg dinner with mac and. Yams. The fried turkey was flavorful but too dry. It would be good if the leg was injected like a regular fried turkey. The sides are always great! Definitely authentic soul food. Food came up in decent time. quick. Wish there was an option to order by phone but usually no answer which is understandable with the small staff. Hopefully will be available at some point. We will be back! Great Turkey ribs, candied yams but those greens were WWWAAAYYYYY to salty. Can't do those again.
