Sticks & Stones Studio

This was my second time visiting this store. First time was a few years ago where I found every Christmas decoration I ever wished I could find. Every item I purchased from there I have received multiple compliments from and are sure to become family heirlooms. I stopped in again today just wanting to see what it was like when not in full Christmas mode. Same friendly, helpful staff. Still super cute with lots of tempting decor items. Wide range of price points... something for everyone. They have a few pieces of repurposed furniture that has been redone in a shabby chic fashion using chalk paint. They also sell the full line of chalk paint... which I will be back to purchase once I figure out what direction I was to take my repurposing items in. Today half the store was closed as it will become their dedicated Christmas section. Come back Nov 7th and be the first to browse the new merchandise! You will find me adding to our Christmas collection. They are one of the best Christmas merchandisers in Central Ohio, in my opinion. Worth the trip in!!! Buy local! This small shop describes themselves as "re-purposed, re-styled, re-loved furniture and accessories." There's a not a ton of true antiques here, mostly vintage inspired home decor. The item might look old but it's not. Which is fine, for some. There's a lot of furniture crammed (in a nice way) into this space. It's a little hard to get around and look at everything. High ceilings mean high walls which have shelves adorned with a lot of smaller home decor pieces which would make great gifts. During my June visit there were a lot of nautical seaside themed pieces, if that's your interest. You'll also find crafting paint (which they give classes on), scented candles, jewelry and the like.Connected to it is another smaller vintage-inspired shop called Georgie Emerson Vintage. I walked into it thinking I was still in Sticks and Stones. Not sure why they are side by side and connected.... Across the street is another much larger antique store called the Cornersmiths. if you want true antiques, definitely pop in. But with all these places being steps from one another check them all out, but only if you're already in the area.

What a great store! If you like Shabby Chic, French Country, or finding items that can't be found at just any box store, come check out Sticks and Stones Studio. I found it a little by accident. I'm planning on repainting a piece of furniture and was looking for a store that carried Annie Sloan paints. This was the closest location to me. When I arrived, not only did I find the paints, but they also hold classes on how to use the paints (which I signed up for). There are two very large rooms to this store and the items ranged from older original furniture, repainted or re-purposed furniture, nick knacks, jewelry, wall hangings, handmade cards, and all manner of lovely items to decorate your home. The owner was there during my visit and was very friendly and helpful. There were a few other stores of this nature in the immediate area (it's a great corner of Canal Winchester to spend a few hours) but this store was the biggest.
