Steve's Dakota Grill

Stopped in before Christmas with my wife and mom during a quick jaunt to the Mansfield area. They were not too busy and we were seated immediately. While cruising the menu we ordered our adult beverages. I enjoyed and Manhattan while my mom enjoyed their blue margarita and wife, a glass of wine. We did not order any starters. My wife ordered their meatloaf and a bowl of their chicken noodle soup while I settled on their roasted chicken. Overall, I believe the chicken was pretty good! I sampled my wife's meatloaf and was not impressed. I had a really nice salad with my roast chicken as well overall it was a pretty good visit.

Had a great dinner here on Thanksgiving. They had Thanksgiving specials and the full menu. I decided to get the park avenue salad with steak added. Salads was well portioned and the steak was perfect. Richelle had the peppercorn ribeye, she said it was cook perfectly and was very good.Service was fantastic, even though we were told they were a little short staffed.Thanks to Steve's Dakota Grill for being open on Thanksgiving for those of us who don't want to spend Thanksgiving cooking.

A good place in Ontario to get a good steak! Prime rib was excellent and price was great. We went back a second night. I had the park avenue salad and ordered rare.....and it really was! Excellent. Not too many vegetables on the salad but steak made up for it. Salad had exactly what menu said do read carefully. Service was attentive. Ambiance was good too.

Steve's is my preferred steak house in the area. First of all, their menu is much better in terms of diversity ! I love their cocktail list also you get a great martini for after your meal. The service friendliness lacks just a bit but the way they cook their steaks has made up for the experience. The restaurant is pretty rustic so you do not need to dress up it is very causal.

I've been here about 8 times and the last 3 visits have me wondering what I did to put off the staff. The last 3 times I visited my order was wrong, incomplete, and the last 2 times my order had approximately 90 min wait times although everyone else around me got their food in a timely manner. I tip anywhere from 35-50 percent so that's not the issue. I also don't make challenging requests. I've only lived in the area about 19 months and everyone here seems to know everyone else so maybe that's it-I know when I'm not welcome somewhere. It's too bad their food is good.

The only thing good about Steve's Dakota grill was they had assigned a person to go around and take the waitresses temp.while they are working. The wife got chicken and couldn't cut it with the provided steak knife, even with all the gristle it had. I paid 24 bucks for a charred steak that was very rare and definitely not an 18 or 16 oz. Waitress was slow and forgot us a lot. We won't be going back.

Called them to order take out and the girl that answered the phone said that she didn't have anything to write with so she wanted me to go online. So I went online and it wouldn't let me choose the steak temp that I wanted. After selecting my items, at the end where it asks pick up time, it will only let you select immediately, as any other time, even 10 minutes later, was unavailable. So I had to call back to the store and the same girl put me on hold for 5 minutes to get someone else. He confirmed my order and said he would make the changes. Picked up the food and then drove to my destination only to find out that my pre-paid, and double confirmed order, was missing someone's food. Had to call the store back yet again, and the same girl answered and put me straight to hold without even saying a word. The other guy comes back on in a few minutes and wanted to send me a gift card. I live out of state and did not want it, and he could also not refund me because of a "new system". Lettuce in my salad was uncut and brown. 1/5 Do not recommend this place.

It was mother day and found very disappointing,having been there before and was great. I'll give them pass for it being mother day and they were slammed.

Haven't stopped in for a few years - I know realize why - lack of seasoning and overall just depressing

Trina the waitress was amazing if you go in request her!! everybody was friendly. food was good and worth the money
