Steve's Dakota Grill

We were with a group on a tour of the Harding home, library and memorial. The organizer planned lunch at Steve's Dakota Grill Our waitress was overwhelmed and dropped each dressing down the back of one of the diners as she tried to squeeze into the corner carrying 2 entrees. Accidents happen, I get that and the be restaurant comped the meal for the gentleman wearing the ranch.The food was subpar and I would not recommend this restaurant!I ordered a grilled chicken salad. The lettece was pulled directly out of a GFS bag of prepared salad mix. The restaurant added 3 slices of cucumber, some red onion and a few croutons. The grilled chicken was not warm and had no flavor. The ranch was awful. Also tasted like cheap GFS dressing Rolls were served tablesude with maple butter that was tasty and regular butter. But the rolls were not warm and tasted like frozen dinner rolls. Imy husband ordered the lunch serloin. He said an excessive amount of liquid smoke was on the meat. The meat was tough. The mashed potatoes were instant. I like to eat local and thisvplace disappoints. We will NOT return;

My family liked the Mansfield location so we figured we'd try this one. The staff was friendly and helpful, the decorations seemed pretty outdated. For how steady it was, the noise level was pretty good. The food though wasn't very good. My brothers steak seemed like it was half raw and half well done. He ended up getting sick from it. Most of the food was bland. The fried pickles were amazing! They were fried pickle spears. I also got the peach margarita with extra lime. Honestly didn't taste any peach but the margarita was good. The food that my other family got was supposed to be well done but looked burnt and dry.

I gave it one star because I could not choose none. Ordered filet mignon and pork chops. One of the two Caesar salads had zero dressing. Like literally none. The French onion soup was fine - weird a dinner roll was used as the bottom bread, but it was not bad. The onion straws with our items were definitely good, but the meat. It. Was. Awful. Hand cut filet - maybe, but not well cut if that's really true. Color was awful looking and taste - so chewy. We really don't think it was a filet and we asked to be sure and the woman acting as manager gave us a whole spiel about the owner and hand cut so we just said thank you and left it there ... then the pork chops. Those are hard to mess up, and yet somehow, so overcooked that I literally could not stick a fork through it. No kidding. Looked great on the outside but zero juiciness. Our server was absolutely lovely. We tipped her very graciously. It makes me sad to share this review, but it's not worth your time or dime as I don't think this was just an off night.

Before you leave, make sure you have everything you ordered. I am on a road trip and I did not get everything that I ordered. I ordered a half a rotisserie chicken entrée with a side salad and broccoli and all I got was the chicken and broccoli no salad...

A great Steakhouse for a small town. Our waitress made sure we was taken care of. Overall great atmosphere and great food

I used to dine out On weekends and then Biden was elected and I can only afford to eat out once a month, so it is a special event for me.I ordered 8 oz prime rib. it was prepared perfectly. however I know the difference between choice and prime beef. I was definitely eating a chewy old cow, not prime meat. Service. the place was packed And they only had one bartender Making drinks for an estimated 70 customers. I played two games of free cell on my phone before she got around to me.ambience. it was loud. and then a BBW Plopped her double wide In the chair right next to mine. And began a conversation with another woman 15 feet away. both were yelling. which caused the rest of the conversations to elevate to be heard above her. the crescendo became that of a rock concert. I turned off my hearing aids in search of peace. Then the BBW Began tapping me on my arm while I was eating trying to start a conversation. it was all I could do to not stab her with a fork by that time. the bartender intervened and told the BBW, I could not hear her. thank you bartender. Not a very pleasant experience overall.

Ordered on line as I just come home from surgery. Steak price on line said $18 and when we picked it up, they stated it was $25.99. When we questioned this they said it was "old price". I think since posted on their website, they should honor it. Disappointed. Even talking to manager did not help.

Love the food here!!! The fish and chips, real pieces of fish with a very light batter.Hubby and I being older, don't eat like we used to. We split a meal, and usually still bring some home!!Very friendly staff, very clean restaurant. We keep going back, have not had a bad meal yet!Plus their prices...we split a meal, each have a beer, with tip around $20!!!!

Horrible food and the service was just as bad. our waitress Stephanie did not return to the table. No drinks were refilled and no one checked in about the food. The table behind us got a piece of cloth towel in their food. The manager was useless as well. Her response was oh sorry!Never again The steak was a poor choice of meat and everything else was cold

I was there for lunch on Monday it was fairly busy. I was seated pretty fast. Service was great and I had a burger cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had soup and salad. Salad was fresh and good sized. It was all you could eat but that and two soups she was very happy. The manager stopped by to make sure everything was okay. We'll definitely be coming back.
