Starliner Diner

Two words: Mofongo Omelette Give me bacon, ham, plantains and cheese inside of my omelette anytime. It was sweet, savory and enhanced even further by the smoked chili sauce and green onion dressing that covered the dish. No complaints about the home fries or Cuban bread that accompanied the omelette either. I love the portion size, overall value, Cuban influence, interstellar decor, and parking lot. I'm so glad to have finally tried this place after several trips to Old Hilliard for other reasons.

Starliner Diner moved from the original location, but they took the mural wall as aDigital reproduction. They retained some of the kitch. It would have been nice to have a fan or art student do mural reproductions. The food was good. Not quite as amazing as I remember. The adobo and machaka didn't have the long cook flavor. The jalapeño soup was stellar. The bread was excellent. Service was good for a busy Sunday but not warm and welcoming. Since we don't live in Columbus anymore, the trip down memory lane was nice but not to be repeated. We

This diner is not bad if you know what to order. The specialty breakfasts, like the Huevos Rancheros, is excellent. The jalapeño soup, black bean nachos, burritos, and other breakfast items (eggs, toast, bacon, pancakes, etc) are all solid choices. Stay away from the cornbread crusted chicken casserole (sounds so much better than it tasted...)However, the dark haired younger lady that acts like a hostess is really rude and on a power trip with seating guests. I will say that the rest of the staff is very much on point with both service and being friendly. Would have given 4 stars if the hostess had a better attitude.

Frühstuck. I always take the Swiss friends to local mom and Pop places when they come in. They really love coming here, and this has become a staple for their stop.

My favorite place for breakfast. Just keep in mind they are always busy on the weekends. They have fair prices and great food options. The service is excellent and they are always friendly. There's plenty of seating inside and out. I'll keep coming back to Starliner diner

This is my favorite local diner! Has a fun Cuban American FUSIAN menu with a "starship"/space theme. Service is always good although they do get busy. Great bloody Mary's, i usually get juevos rancheros, but I definitely recommend Cuban French toast (I usually share with the table).

The service was a little slow today especially waiting for our check. But very friendly as usual. I got the eggs, potatoes and Cuban toast. Nothing special but good food. We also had mimosas which are good. It's nice to go out to breakfast and have mimosas! The ambiance is funky and there's a lot to look at so it's a great place for kids. I used to play I Spy with my son all the time at their old location. If you're in the area, you must check it out.

I went to Starliner Diner for breakfast on a Monday morning and thought it was such a cute & quaint place! The decor on the inside was unique and funky. They have both indoor & outdoor seating. The place wasn't too busy when we got there so we were seated and waited on right away. They have a good breakfast menu with lots of options, but they also serve lunch & dinner as well. For breakfast I ordered the Starliner burrito, which was scrambled eggs, chorizo, refried beans, & jack cheese topped with ranchero sauce, sour cream & queso. It was very tasty and super filling. My boyfriend got the farmer's omelet which was another good choice. All in all I thought the food & service was great. It's a perfect laid back breakfast place that definitely hits the spot.

Generous portions, good food, seated immediately . Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. Quiet and less hectic than on the weekends.

Horrible, Awful, Terrible.Will never, ever considering going there again.Total, abject lack of customer service. They REFUSE to seat you until everyone is there. They mafe us stand in a tiny crowded hall for a half-hour - in case someone else joined our group. This alone is plenty of reason NEVER to go there again.Waiter gave himself about a 35% tip when returning change.Light food is seriously overpriced. White tablecloth prices in a junky, cluttered little shop.Food is pretty bad. $5 for a small plate of fries, without even any ketchup. TOTAL RIPOFF.Tiny hamburger was in the range of $10-12, and it was only a slider, in fact. TOTAL RIPOFF.Seated us at a dirty table. Then someone came along with a sloppy wet rag and swiped the table. So we were stuck with a dirty and sloppy wet table to start lunch.
