Wow, total 180 from my first Sophie's experience!! For some odd reason, I was continuing to assume their pierogi would be the same soggy, overly oily, tasteless potato pockets that they were those years ago, but I was completely telling myself a lie. In this case, I'm kinda kicking myself that I let my "First impressions tend to say a lot and hold true" personal motto cloud my thinking; I should have given Sophie's a second chance long ago. These pierogi were fantastic. Filled to the seam with potato purée. I went with their classic pockets served with sautéed sweet onions, roasted garlic & smoked paprika butter and sour cream. Outstanding!! I'm impressed! Looking at their menu, I'll certainly be tracking Sophie down in the summer months, as reading their Huevo Rancheros dish left me salivating!

Stopped while they were at brewery. I definitely appreciate having something different. I had the pizza and my SO had the ones with chorizo. Both were delicious. For my taste there was a little too much pepperoni but the Pierogis were very good. The chorizo was good but did have some kick. Definitely recommend checking this food truck out!

Wow, this food truck is the bomb! Comfort food to the MAX. The menu consisted of pierogies in an endless array of styles and flavors. You can make your own pierogi plate, picking your own "compound butter" and other add-ons like bacon and/or a fried egg (give me both please!)For those that prefer pre-curated pierogi plates, they offered two specials. I ordered the Pierogi mami steak that had pierogi, bacon, chicken, steak, carmelized onions and various cheeses. All of those ingredients, including meats from the pig, cow and chicken, for just $10. The portion size was no slouch either as it was filled to the brim in a Chinese takeout container. Unbelievable flavor - despite being an elegant way to serve street food, the chinese takeout container plays a functional role in housing all the meat juices together in a comfortable place and co-mingling the flavors. You get the salt from the bacon, the sweet from the carmelized onions and the hearty carbs from the pierogies.

The pierogis are stuffed full of yummy potato goodness! All of the pierogis come with caramelized onions, sour cream, and a specialty compound butter. You can add cheese, protein, and other toppings if you like. I ordered 4 pierogis (2 is enough) with bacon, lemon basil butter, and grilled Asiago cheese. I think that the Asiago cheese made it salty, maybe it was the bacon, it was something- but it was good though. As much as I enjoyed the extras, I'm not sure that I needed it. The pierogis were really good served traditionally, which says something about the quality and flavor! I also enjoyed the nice presentation of the food! Sometimes food trucks skip out on that part, but Sophie's did a nice job.

I've been trying to scope out this truck for a long, long time, but until recently, the stars did not align (the truck is at Seventh Son on Thursday nights). I tried 4 pierogis with garlic butter and asiago with a fried egg.The pierogis were substantial but I'm sad to report that they're not very flavorful. Furthermore, the garlic butter tasted too whipped and margarine-ey (it didn't melt despite the pierogis being super hot!). Lastly, the fried egg was too crispy and I couldn't cut it through with the provided spork.I realize that I'm being a little harsh, considering this is a truck, but I guess I was expecting a "gourmet" pierogi, based on the name, and it was just a regular pierogi with not a lot of flavor. Meh. Next time I'll likely skip.

Maybe I've just been anticipating trying Sophie's Pierogies for so long and hyped it up in my mind but I was actually a bit disappointed. I'm between 3-4 stars on Sophie's... The pierogi stars finally aligned for me and I was able to catch Sophie's at Seventh Son last night (Thursday). We went partially to have Sophie's and partially to pick up a growler from Seventh Son. They boxed up our pierogies since we were taking them home and we didn't wait very long! The girl taking our order was just fine, we didn't have a real long interaction. We ordered 6 basil butter and 6 garlic butter. They came with sauteed onions and sour cream. I'm actually a fan of the sauces and flavors! My main concern was that our pierogies were not crispy :( sad sad pierogi day. I'm not a pierogi expert, but I am definitely a pierogi lover and my boyfriend is half polish so that has to count for something right? I think I eat frozen pierogies once a week (lol I love potatoes and carbs help). I've even made my own pierogies before! Ok anyway so $12 for 6 pierogies felt a bit steep to me considering overall value... I didn't feel completely satisfied after (not full, and wished my pierogies were crispier). I'm still up for giving Sophie's another try and still searching for the best pierogi in good ole OH.

I know this truck has been around for awhile, but I just had it this weekend for the first time. I had it two nights in a row at Beerfest. I like that you can customize each order to what you want. I got the roasted garlic with paprika butter and added pimento cheese. It was soooo good that I got the exact same thing the second night. I got the smallest order they have, which is 4 and I personally think that's plenty. It filled me up for the night. The folks that work the truck all seemed super friendly. Definitely check these guys out if they are at an event!!

Sophies came out to my work and I had been wanting to try them for a long time. The food was great and they were fairly quick to get food out the window. Probably my favorite pierogis that I have tried (never been to Pierogi Mt. ) with some interesting options. I give them a 3/5 because they have publicly called Yelpers the "lowest of the low". To me this seems a terrible way to treat people that have helped get you out of obscurity. I wont be eating there since they have stated they dont want my business.

Stopped by this truck at the Thursday food truck roundup at Columbus Commons and braved the long lines. The food was quite tasty, although not particularly season-appropriate. The pierogies were light and flavorful, but the craut, veg, sausage, and stew-y gravy made for a very winter-feeling dish. I'd try the other combinations next time. The summer salad was delicious. Service is a little slow - I'm not sure much can be done about that, but it seemed like there could have been a better division of labor between order-taking, processing, and delivery. The owner was super friendly, though, which was great.

We enjoyed these so much the last time they were at Ill Mannered Brewery in Powell we stopped in Grove City on the way home when we found out they were at Hop Yard 62.They take delicious, made from scratch pierogis, and dress them up with various styles and flavors. The ingredients are always fresh and compliment the pierogis well. Our favorites are the "Loaded for Two" which includes flavors of a baked potato with cheddar cheese, bacon, onions, and sour cream and "Huevo Ranchero" which are pierogis served with spicy chorizo sausage, caramelized onions, sour cream, sunny side fried egg.If you see their truck in your area you definitely should give them a try!
