This company is one of the worst when it comes to hiring referees. They constantly show up late and extremely unprofessional when it comes to calling a game. For one of the championship games, they failed to secure a single referee!! How does that happen for a CHAMPIONSHIP GAME?? Instead they bring along some dude in sweat pants and a hoodie, like they just called their cousin Johnny who played soccer in high school! And here's the kicker (pun intended).. the so called "ref" states that since he's not only ref, he's "not going to call offsides"!? If you're looking for a sports provider for soccer, I would highly recommend looking somewhere else. Absolutely terrible.

There isn't a chance I would have signed up for a men's indoor league at Soccer First if I knew how little they consider your feedback. I am totally fed up with the officiating. Therefore, myself and another player tried to file a formal complaint; the response was underwhelming. They wouldn't let us speak to the facility's manager because she was "too busy," and some 50-year-old dude came out and began conversing with us. He asked us what was wrong, and we cited some obvious instances. For example, we talked about the referee texting during our game, calling a foul when not looking, not giving a card on a breakaway foul, sustaining injuries we have faced from poor game management, and drinking before games by other teams. All of these complaints were blatantly disregarded by him.Instead, this managerial figure, which is a generous term, choose to respond to the one complaint of mine that referred to the opponents player not retreating to their half after a goal was scored. Apparently, this is legal even though I said something directly to the referee before the ball was kicked. Anyway, he gave me a blank white piece of paper to write down my complaints in spite of me asking to file a formal report. I could tell from his patronizing tone that he did not give a flying you-know-what about our complaints. So, I ultimately handed the guy back his blank paper and said, "you aren't going to do anything about it." To which the fake manager replied something to the effect of, "you will never go anywhere with that attitude."The absolute brazen approach to openly disrespect patrons is both disgusting and invokes a strong-indignant feeling by Soccer First. It is readily apparent to me that they have no regard for player safety, and they simply care about padding their bottom line.

Was not a fan of the field conditions and the refs didn't seem to care at all about the rules. The parity in the rec leagues is non-existent as well. Expect to play travel teams when you want a casual league.

The place is good for Indoor-outdoor soccer, Their indoor fields need to be worked upon. Referees pool is a mix of knowledgeable and amatures but being a recreational league won't harm much.

Soccer First is not only home to my wonderful and perpetually inept 40 plus soccer team, But more importantly, Soccer First donates their facility to our Columbus Metropolitan TOPSoccer league every season for an hour every Saturday for a month. Karen Lawrence is an angel. Thank you, thank you, thank you. They could not be more giving, and the kids have so much fun. It is mayhem! It is the most fun volunteering I have ever had.

This place smells funny and is always crowded BUT! They have beer on tap Dece concession food and beer on tap. That makes it head and shoulders above.most of.the kids sports venues I watch my sons games at!

So I joined an indoor soccer leauge, for those of you that know me that may seem strange and from those who have read my reviews you will probably see why I need a little more exercise in my life. Though this is my first team I have gone to many indoor games to watch friends play and Soccer First is pretty much just like all the other indoor places. They have a good amount of fields and a few practice fields. Cost per team is a bit high and games seem to be scheduled kinda late, I mean who plays soccer at 11:50pm? I guess me tomorrow. But for what Soccer First is its a-ok in my book.

Oh man where to begin with this place. Let me start by saying never ever subject yourself, your kids, or anyone you know to this place ever. The owner is clueless and blindlessly obeys her equally clueless employees. As for the referees, cardboard cutouts would be more useful. They have zero formal training and the majority of which have never seen an actual soccer game. They take favorites in every game actively insulting players and teams. If you have any self respect you will not waste a penny on this place. Resolute is fantastic please please take your business there. If I could give soccer first negative stars I would 1/5 starts is way too many.

Refs text during the game, make calls without looking, and fight with plays. Absolutely horrible experience playing in the men's adult league. My team asked to be in the lower league since it was our first time playing together. The leagues aren't separated by skill at all. It's a just a random pool that the teams are put into. When we ask the manger about this he said their were more leagues than they actually have and all the leagues have good teams.

Buyer beware! For the adult soccer leagues the officials of the games do not care about the games outside of collecting a paycheck. The company seems to worry more about raising the team registration fee each session then the satisfaction of the customer. Consider other options before signing up!
